While most fans seemed to be\u00a0happy to receive any news at all, many\u00a0quickly took to the internet to discuss <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-brilliant-diamond-and-shining-pearl-graphics-line-tracing\/\"><em>Pokemon<\/em>&#8216;s chibi overworld artstyle,<\/a> something not seen in the mainline series since 2013&#8217;s\u00a0<i>Pokemon X<\/i> and\u00a0<em>Y<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Even though\u00a0<i>Pokemon<\/i> games utilized a chibi artstyle in the overworld\u00a0for nearly 17 years, fans have expressed mixed feelings towards the artstyle of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/pokemon-diamond\"><i>Brilliant Diamond<\/i><\/a> and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/pokemon-pearl\"><em>Shining Pearl<\/em><\/a> games. While some fans expressed joy over the faithfulness to the original Nintendo DS games, others expected to see something closer to\u00a0<em>Pokemon Sword<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Shield<\/em>, hoping for a\u00a0full-scale recreation of the Sinnoh region. Now, one fan has created their own trailer depicting what more detailed and realistic\u00a0<em>Diamond<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Pearl<\/em> remakes could have looked like.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-brilliant-diamond-shining-pearl-delta-episode-giratina-darkrai-shaymin-manaphy\/\">Pokemon\u00a0Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Should Have Their Own Delta Episode<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Over on Twitter, digital artist and game designer\u00a0millenniumloops posted their fan-made\u00a0<i>Brilliant Diamond<\/i> and\u00a0<em>Shining Pearl<\/em> trailer,\u00a0splicing in their own footage with the original trailer&#8217;s.\u00a0The fan-made trailer features an artstyle much more akin to\u00a0<em>The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild<\/em>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-legends-arceus-diamond-and-pearl-prequel\/\">even\u00a0<em>Pokemon Legends: Arceus<\/em>,<\/a> Game Freak&#8217;s upcoming\u00a0<em>Pokemon<\/em> action RPG set in the Sinnoh region of old. The artist&#8217;s\u00a0trailer features lush, vibrant environments, loaded with wild Pokemon and a few other surprises.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/millenniumloops\/status\/1369428475535388688\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Complete with a cutscene featuring the player choosing their starter Pokemon, millenniumloops&#8217; trailer also features following Pokemon, a feature now beloved by many\u00a0fans since its debut\u00a0in\u00a0<em>Pokemon Heart Gold<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Soul Silver<\/em> and\u00a0return in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-lets-go-pikachu-eevee-easier-launch\/\">the\u00a0<em>Let&#8217;s Go<\/em> games.<\/a> However, that&#8217;s not the only fan-favorite feature\u00a0that appears in the trailer, as Mega Evolution also makes a quick cameo, featured in what\u00a0looks\u00a0to be the battle against Sinnoh&#8217;s Champion, Cynthia. Finally, the trailer concludes with an ambitious encounter with\u00a0<em>Diamond<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Pearl<\/em>&#8216;s signature Legendary Pokemon, Dialga and Palkia.<\/p>\n<p>In another tweet, the digital artist mentioned that this is what they had hoped to see in the 4th generation remakes, as opposed to a nearly 1-to-1 recreation, which fans have argued looks like more of a remaster than a remake. While many details have yet to be revealed about the upcoming Nintendo Switch games, fans do hope to see <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/rumor-pokemon-brilliant-diamond-shining-pearl-might-mega-evolutions\/\">the return of Mega Evolution,<\/a> just as millenniumloops had shown.<\/p>\n<p>While ILCA&#8217;s <em>Diamond<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Pearl<\/em>\u00a0remakes seem to stay more faithful to their source material, at least fans have <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-legends-arceus-open-world-regions-mmorpg\/\">an entirely new <em>Pokemon<\/em> experience<\/a> to look forward to in <em>Pokemon Legends: Arceus<\/em>.
