The Framerate option lets both Xbox Series X\/S run Overwatch as 120 frames-per-second, but at a sacrifice to its resolution. The Xbox Series X will drop to a 1440p image when using this higher framerate option, while Xbox Series S has to go back to 1080p.<\/p>\n<p>Blizzard has also introduced a Resolution mode, which allows Overwatch to prioritise a higher-resolution output, at the expensive of a slightly lower image quality. On the Series X, the title can hit 4K resolution, while Series S can manage 1440p.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Balanced mode allows Overwatch to output a higher image quality, but with a lower resolution. Xbox Series X hits 1440p, with Series S landing at 1080p.<\/p>\n<p>There&rsquo;s no word on when Overwatch on PlayStation 5 will run at 120 frames-per-second. This is another title that has received a framerate upgrade on Xbox Series X and S but not on Sony&rsquo;s new machine.
