While many would have assumed that the campaigning would stop with the Snyder Cut coming to fruition, fans are not backing down. Their latest demand\u00a0is for the studio to restore Snyder\u2019s version of the DC universe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zack Snyder\u2019s Justice League <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">releases on HBO Max in a week, but fans aren\u2019t even waiting to watch it before asking the production studio to &#8220;#RestoreTheSnyderVerse.&#8221; The hashtag was trending on Twitter on Thursday, March 11, with fans sharing their requests along with memes, GIFs, and images created from <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/justice-league-trailer-details\/\">the <em>Justice League<\/em> trailer<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><b>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/joker-jared-leto-zack-snyder-justice-league-new-photo\/\">Zack Snyder Thanks Jared Leto With New Joker Photo For Justice League<\/a><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The trend appeared shortly after it was confirmed that actress Kiersey Clemons\u00a0was officially returning\u00a0as Iris West in <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/flash-movie-casts-supergirl\/\">Ezra Miller&#8217;s <em>The Flash<\/em>\u00a0movie<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Clemons was cast to play Barry Allen\u2019s love interest in Snyder\u2019s original cut of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Justice League<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. However, her role was later cut from Joss Whedon\u2019s theatrical edition of the film.\u00a0It was confirmed that her scenes have been added back to the upcoming Snyder Cut, and she also appears in the film\u2019s trailer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ray8fisher\/status\/1370087696031449088\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This isn\u2019t the first time that fans have made this specific demand online. Over the years, similar hashtags have emerged on social media, with #RestoreTheSnyderVerse trending on Twitter in December 2020 as well. The trends always have fans imploring DC to let Snyder complete his vision for the so-called SnyderVerse.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unlike the Marvel Cinematic Universe, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/dc-universe-rebrand-film-tv-content\/\">the DC Extended Universe<\/a> has faced a chaotic fate since its inception. With 2013\u2019s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Man of Steel<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the initial phase of the universe was introduced by Snyder. It was initially meant to\u00a0launch a five-movie plan, with the second film <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">releasing in 2016. <em>Suicide Squad<\/em> was the first spin-off film in the universe, which introduced fans to Joker and Harley Quinn in 2016.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, after introducing Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman to the world, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/zack-snyder-justice-league-exit-reason\/\">Snyder\u2019s journey with the DCEU ended<\/a> abruptly after facing a personal tragedy during the production of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Justice League. <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since then, the DCEU went in a different direction, one that was unlike Snyder\u2019s vision. While <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Suicide Squad<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> cast Jared Leto as Joker, who was also meant to appear in Snyder\u2019s version of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Justice League<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the 2019 film <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Joker<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> starred Joaquin Phoenix. Ben Affleck decided to step away and <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/robert-pattinson-cleared-covid-19-batman-filming-again\/\">Robert Pattinson took over as a new version<\/a> of Caped Crusader. While Aquaman and Shazam got their standalone films, Flash and Cyborg, both a part of the 2017 theatrical cut of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Justice League,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> were turned into supporting cast members.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now that <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zack Snyder\u2019s Justice League<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is releasing, fans want all these wrongs to be righted and to be given a chance to experience Snyder\u2019s vision for the DC Universe. Unfortunately, there is little hope at the moment for their demands to be heard. Snyder, in past interviews, has revealed that Warner Bros. has <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/zack-snyder-justice-league-2-warner-bros-no-interest\/\">no interest in a<em> Justice League<\/em> sequel<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
