As <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/dragon-ball-z-kakarot-dlc-3-news-when\/\">fans questioned the extended silence on <em>Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot<\/em>&#8216;s DLC plans<\/a>, publisher Bandai Namco confirmed that DLC 3 will focus on a fan favorite story arc. Yet, some fans may be disappointed that it will only be a small part of the central character&#8217;s narrative.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/dragon-ball-z-kakarot-dlc-3-revealed\/\"><em>Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot<\/em>&#8216;s next DLC will be <em>Trunks: The Warrior of Hope<\/em><\/a>, a retelling of\u00a0the tragic tale of Future Trunks. Many fans welcomed the news that one of the more somber tales in the <em>Dragon Ball<\/em> universe would be realized within <em>Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot<\/em>&#8216;s RPG based gameplay. While the announcement trailer confirmed that players would relive the &#8220;origin&#8221; story of Future Trunks, there were those that questioned if it\u00a0would go\u00a0further. Unfortunately for those hoping the story would progress beyond &#8220;Z,&#8221; a new tweet has dashed those dreams.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/dragon-ball-z-kakarot-dlc-3-leak-unexpected\/\">Early Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC 3 Leak Was Right, But Not How Many Expected<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The official Bandai Namco DE Twitter account confirmed that <em>Trunks: The Warrior of Hope<\/em>\u00a0would only focus on the original Future Trunks storyline. As <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/dragon-ball-z-kakarot-season-pass-super\/\"><em>Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot<\/em> players have requested the move into <em>Dragon Ball Super<\/em> content<\/a>, <em>Trunks: The Warrior of Hope<\/em> DLC will not feature the transition. The tweet, which was in response to another Twitter user, was blunt in confirming that\u00a0there will\u00a0be no link to <em>Dragon Ball Super<\/em>\u00a0stories. The tweet, as translated through Google, states that DLC Pack 3 will only focus on <em>Dragon Ball Z<\/em> content.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BandaiNamcoDE\/status\/1368893494547406851\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><em>Dragon Ball<\/em> fans are more than familiar with the <em>Z<\/em> story of Future Trunks, the character central to the franchise&#8217;s revered &#8220;Cell&#8221; arc.\u00a0While most\u00a0fans know\u00a0Future Trunk&#8217;s original tale, the story did not end there. The son of the Saiyan prince Vegeta would find more struggles ahead as the future is placed in peril again. <em>Dragon Ball Super<\/em> saw the return of Future Trunks within the plainly named &#8220;Future Trunks Saga.&#8221; Set as the third major story arc of the most recent iteration of <em>Dragon Ball<\/em>, it saw Future Trunks deal with Kais, Gods, and a frightening foe in Goku Black. It was because of all this that some fans hoped the story of Future Trunks would move into the <em>Dragon Ball Super<\/em> story arc. With Bandai Namco&#8217;s recent tweet however, it seems that the &#8220;Z&#8221; in <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/dragon-ball-z-kakarot\/\"><em>Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot<\/em><\/a>\u00a0limits how far the story can go.<\/p>\n<p>With the confirmation from an official Bandai Namco source, it appears fans will have to keep waiting until a possible &#8220;Dragon Ball Super: Kakarot&#8221; releases in the future. While <em>Kakarot<\/em> won&#8217;t be the transition point, it does not mean that Bandai Namco is only focused on <em>Dragon Ball Z<\/em> alone. The publisher of all <em>Dragon Ball<\/em> video games continues to bring content from all eras of Akira Toriyama&#8217;s manga to gamers. Just recently, it was confirmed that <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/dragon-ball-fighterz-super-saiyan-gogeta-blue-gogeta\/\"><em>Dragon Ball GT<\/em>&#8216;s Super Saiyan 4 Gotega will be added to <em>Dragon Ball FighterZ<\/em><\/a>.
