The popular <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/call-of-duty\/\"><em>Call of Duty<\/em><\/a> YouTuber Drift0r recently mentioned several incidents related to swatting, some of which almost resulted in his death.<\/p>\n<p>Known for his honesty and transparency, Drift0r has built up a positive reputation with the <em>Call of Duty<\/em> community over the last few years. Whether he is spreading important <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war-sbmm-impacts-ping\/\">information about skill-based matchmaking<\/a>, speaking out against <em>Call of Duty: Warzone<\/em>\u2019s cheating, or making passion-filled tier lists about the series, Drift0r is viewed by many as a positive force inside the <em>Call of Duty<\/em> community. Despite this, he has endured several uncomfortable moments with some of his so-called fans.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-of-duty-mara-actor-alex-zedra-warzone-stream-cheating-video-clip\/\">Call of Duty Mara Actor Catches Player Cheating in Warzone<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>In a change-up from his usual videos <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-of-duty-warzone-bot-lobby-exploit\/\">exposing <em>Call of Duty<\/em> cheaters<\/a> or reviewing the series\u2019 weaponry, Drift0r highlights his ongoing struggles with low testosterone. An important video as is, as it explains his recent absence due to the disorder, things become even more serious when he touches on several near-death experiences due to swatting incidents. At roughly 12 minutes into the video, Drift0r mentions the swatting, saying that he \u201calmost died four or five times.\u201d Several people approached his house with weapons drawn as well, though this was thankfully stopped by the police on his lawn before the situation could escalate.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"200\" height=\"113\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/uMhOk4Kuv-Q?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Drift0r also highlights several issues with harassment, mentioning that a fellow <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-of-duty-warzone-tournaments-dr-disrespect\/\"><em>Call of Duty<\/em> creator<\/a> \u201cstreamed one of his fans with a ski mask and a gun\u201d coming to Drift0r\u2019s home. Though this was supposedly a prank, Drif0r did not see it as such, adding it to a long list of \u201cbizarre\u201d things that the streamer has had to deal with. At one point last year, Drift0r\u2019s dog was also stolen, with cruel viewers prank calling him and his wife on the number provided for tips. Thankfully, their dog was found, but this was yet another awful run-in the streamer has had with fanatics.<\/p>\n<p>Sadly, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/fatal-swatting-sentenced-20-years-prison\/\">swatting incidents have proven fatal<\/a> in the past, which means that Drift0r\u2019s life was very much at risk all those times that the police raided his home. While swatting has long been considered a crime, it seems to be just as prevalent as it has always been, with Drift0r being the latest of a long string of victims. Describing the situation as \u201cconstant violence\u201d against him and his family members, Drift0r shares that he is only coming out with the details now due to some of the criminals being arrested. Though he tried his best to keep it private, these incidents supposedly occurred for an entire year, forcing the YouTuber to constantly be on edge.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/streamer-swatting-still-not-answer\/\">Swatting is never the answer<\/a>, nor is it actually funny.
