While most in the gaming world would agree that Google’s cloud-based gaming system known as Stadia has not been the success<\/a> the tech giant was hoping for, it appears the\u00a0service isn’t quite dead, yet. Indeed, gamers still holding out hope for the\u00a0streaming platform\u00a0now have a little bit more to be hopeful about as Stadia’s official Twitter account has now confirmed a Stadia release date for the indie darling, Terraria<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

For the uninitiated, Terraria<\/em><\/a> is a sandbox adventure game that was first released on PC in 2011 and has since been ported to almost every console under the sun, including the PS4 and Xbox One. The game also found its way to the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, so a Stadia release won’t be the first time developer Re-Logic has released Terraria<\/em> on experimental software.<\/p>\n

The Tweet from Stadia’s official Twitter account states that Terraria<\/em> will arrive on March 18th for Google’s platform. Interestingly, the release date comes fresh off the heels of the news that Terraria<\/em>‘s Stadia port had been canceled<\/a> altogether. It appears work on the port must have been fairly far along as the March 18th release date comes less than a month after some course correction was made and Terraria<\/em>‘s Stadia port was uncancelled.<\/p>\n
