A\u00a0fan-made video shows what <em>Return of the Jedi<\/em> might have been like with some more recently introduced narrative elements included in the mix.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/return-jedi-perfect-ending-skywalker-saga\/\"><em>Return of the Jedi<\/em> was the final chapter<\/a> of the <em>Star Wars<\/em> saga for a while. The epic conclusion for the original trilogy introduced fans to the amorphous crime boss Jabba the Hutt\u00a0and saw Luke Skywalker finally take on his role as a Jedi Knight, confronting his father Darth Vader. While the film is\u00a0cherished\u00a0now, being one of the sacred installments of the beloved original<em> Star Wars<\/em> trilogy, <em>Return of the Jedi<\/em> actually received a lot of mixed reviews when\u00a0it was released in 1983. Some viewers\u00a0saw new additions like the cuddly Ewoks as being too kid-friendly and silly, but perhaps by that point, many fans had simply grown out of the Galaxy Far, Far Away.\u00a0Or maybe endings\u00a0are just hard.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/colin-trevorrow-star-wars-episode-ix-webcomic\/\">Colin Trevorrow&#8217;s Star Wars Episode IX Script Is Now A Fanmade Webcomic<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>In the fan-made video uploaded to YouTube channel <em>Auralnauts,\u00a0<\/em>we see Darth Vader discussing the feeble structure of the second Death Star and chastising an imperial commander for not changing the original plans that were leaked to the rebels by Galen Erso. Of course, this was shown in the 2016<i>\u00a0<\/i>standalone\u00a0film, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/star-wars-rogue-one-darth-vader-deleted-scene\/\"><em>Rogue One: A Star Wars Story<\/em><\/a>, when it was revealed that the Death Star&#8217;s one weakness was actually intentionally created\u00a0by architect Galen Erso, who hoped for its destruction. It is kind of hilarious to think that the imperial engineers and builders didn\u2019t consider changing the design a little more when making\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/star-wars-second-death-star-plans-stolen-bothans-how\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the second super battle station<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"200\" height=\"113\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/v2zRFPeEDS0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The video then moves to Tatooine with the infamous scene where Luke Skywalker confronts Jabba the Hutt in his palace. Upon learning the young hero\u2019s name, Jabba points out that many years ago, a young boy named Skywalker caused a big upset by winning a pod race. Jabba claims to have lost a lot of money on this race and doesn\u2019t seem too thrilled to be meeting another Skywalker. This scene refers to the young Anakin Skywalker miraculously winning during the Boonta Eve Classic pod race at the age of nine in <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/star-wars-phantom-menace-most-confusing-plot-point\/\"><em>Star Wars: Episode 1 &#8211; The Phantom Menace<\/em><\/a>. Jabba\u2019s been running this town for a long time, so it would stand to reason that he might recognize the name.<\/p>\n<p>The video features many other hilarious highlights, like <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/boba-fett-return-worth-wait\/\">Boba Fett yelling from the Sarlacc&#8217;s belly<\/a>\u00a0and Vader having a very awkward conversation with his master regarding Padme. It\u2019s all in good fun though, as the creators mention their love for <em>Star Wars<\/em> in the description and point out just how difficult world-building can be.
