These popular titles include\u00a0new accounts of Batman<\/a>‘s adventures in the\u00a0Arkham\u00a0<\/em>series, brutal fights courtesy of\u00a0Injustice<\/em><\/a>, and even fan-made superheroes with\u00a0DC Universe Online<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em>Essentially, fans of DC Comics could always look to these games to see their favorite superheroes in videogame action.<\/p>\n

However, some fans also know that many superheroes from DC Comics deserve their own limelight aside from the Justice League. Moreover, some might say other heroes boast stories just as entertaining and complex as Batman’s or the\u00a0Injustice\u00a0<\/em>universe combined. However, just what stories are these? Moreover, which superheroes should star in these games?<\/p>\n

Of all DC Comics superheroes that have yet to get a game to call their own, Superman perhaps immediately tops the list. Unlike the gloomy Batman, it’s Superman’s optimistic and hopeful self that makes his stories bring out the best in humanity. Interestingly, despite his powers, the best Superman<\/em> stories exemplify concepts of hope and truth, making some of the best stories featuring the Man of Steel focus on family, perseverance, and narrative in general.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In turn, perhaps a Superman<\/em> game to captivate DC Comics fans should have equal parts action and a strong narrative to back it up. Likewise, a Superman game that’s heavy into action should feature threats that could actively stand up to Superman – including Lex Luthor, Lobo, and even Darkseid himself. <\/span><\/p>\n

9 <\/span>The Flash<\/h2>\n

Comics fans would argue that while nothing could defeat the Flash in terms of speed (unless it’s the CW Flash<\/a>, of course), Speedsters such as Jay Garrick, Wally West, and even evildoers such as Zoom can also tap into the Speed Force. Moreover, thanks to improvements in physics engines and intense Flash<\/em> storylines, now might be the perfect time for a game about the Fastest Man Alive.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Such a Flash<\/em> game would obviously revolve around manipulating super speed. However, players could consider such a game revolutionary. After all, implementing mechanics such as super-speed, bullet time, and even real-time time manipulation into a single game can make for crazy shenanigans and highly precise gimmicks. 8 <\/span>Wonder Woman<\/h2>\n

Of the Justice League’s “Trinity,” it’s Wonder Woman who serves as the perfect balance between the tactician Batman and the superhuman Superman. Moreover, Diana’s complicated relationship with the hidden island of Themyscira makes for a great setting for a Wonder Woman<\/em>\u00a0superhero video game<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Unlike other DC Comics titles, a Wonder Woman<\/em> game could bridge the gap between gadget-reliant Batman and the insane power levels of other Justice League members. Thanks to her superhuman nature, a Wonder Woman<\/em> game would pit Diana against supernatural threats. However, her military training as an Amazon would ensure Diana can use a variety of weapons and martial arts to protect Themyscira and the rest of Earth from these threats.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

7 <\/span>Green Arrow<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Unlike the gloomy and stern nature of Gotham’s Batman, Star City’s Green Arrow boasts a cheerful and oddly charismatic nature. And while Batman has his Bat-themed items<\/a> to boast, Green Arrow has his different trick arrows. Fans who want a non-superpowered hero take on bad guys but still retain a sense of humor might appreciate Oliver Queen and his antics. Moreover, his complicated relationship with Black Canary could easily make for a compelling subplot in his game’s overall narrative. <\/span><\/p>\n

Thankfully, a Green Arrow<\/em> game could boast all the tactical and stealth elements of an Arkham title. However, whereas Batman relies on martial arts to take down foes, Green Arrow may need to form the best arsenal of trick arrows to defeat his enemies. This tactical factor could make for an interesting gameplay element for a Green Arrow title.<\/span><\/p>\n

6 <\/span>Shazam<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Unlike other superheroes, young Billy Batson can only become a defender of justice by shouting “Shazam.” In this transformation, he becomes Shazam or Captain Marvel, an embodiment of seven supernatural gifts from seven Gods. Thanks to Billy’s innocence, a Shazam<\/em> game could be less violent and grim than Injustice<\/em> and instead be more adventurous and light-hearted.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally,\u00a0Billy Batson in a Shazam<\/em> game could bring players to rather crazy and ridiculous situations. And considering how intensely dark some recent DC Comics games have become, a fun Shazam game could serve as a welcome change of pace for players.<\/span><\/p>\n

5 <\/span>Teen Titans<\/h2>\n

Fans of the Bat-Family feel delighted to finally see a Batman<\/em> game without the Caped Crusader. In Gotham Knights<\/em><\/a>, players can get into a co-op experience while fighting as Batman’s proteges. However, Batman isn’t the only one with young sidekicks with a knack for teamwork. In fact, Dick Grayson (or Tim Drake, depending on the timeline) already created a team of his own: the Teen Titans.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Granted, unlike other heavy-hitters, the Teen Titans generally work best as a unit. However, their light-hearted adventures could be enough for\u00a0their own game. Additionally, the likes of magic-user Raven, shapeshifting Beast Boy, techno Cyborg, and alien Starfire could add unique co-op mechanics to a Teen Titans game.<\/span><\/p>\n

4 <\/span>Legion Of Superheroes<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Superhero fans who want the same thrill of a Teens Titans<\/em> story with a rather unexplored roster could look into the Legion of Superheroes<\/em>. Like the Teen Titans, much of the Legion’s members are teenagers and youngsters. However, unlike the Teen Titans, they do share a team-based suit design<\/a>. Additionally, the Legion exists in the far future – meaning their stories likely happen based on events in the distant past. Thanks to their technology, the Legion has a means to travel to the past.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With this time travel element, a game with the Legion of Superheroes could be heavily choice-based. Thanks to popular RPGs, it makes sense for a Legion<\/em> game to feature teams of superheroes such as Saturn Girl and Brainiac 5 that players have to level up. Moreover, its narrative focus could open up things such as various romances and even multiple endings.<\/p>\n

3 <\/span>Booster Gold<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Fans of the Justice League know that Booster Gold isn’t exactly superhero material. Unlike other League members, Booster Gold only has future tech and his iconic costume<\/a> to go by in terms of his powerset. Moreover, unlike Batman, Booster Gold isn’t the brightest in the bunch either. In fact, Booster Gold’s quest to achieve fame as a superhero has had him star in hilariously embarrassing side-stories with the Justice League.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Like the Arkham<\/em> series, a Booster Gold<\/em> game could have the protagonist also rely on futuristic tech to fight baddies. However, unlike the Arkham series, a Booster Gold<\/em> game could have such a comedic element that it might as well be if the Arkham<\/em> games met Grand Theft Auto<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

2 <\/span>Super Sons<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

While not exactly an official team themselves, the pair of Damian Wayne’s Robin and Jon Kent’s Superboy make for a strong narrative game. In the Super Sons<\/em> comics series, Batman and Superman introduce their sons Damian and Jon to each other – only for their differences to cause them to clash frequently. Throughout the story, the two would slowly settle their differences and develop a strong friendship. And it’s these tales that could make for an interest co-op game that highlights friendship more than the two teenagers’ abilities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Granted, the co-op elements of the game would probably utilize each pair’s extensive skill set. For instance, Jon may have enhanced abilities but weaker damage due to his lack of training. Meanwhile, Damian would have a limited powerset but more damaging and complex combos due to his expertise in martial arts.<\/span><\/p>\n

1 <\/span>John Constantine<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Even John Constantine himself would think twice to call himself a superhero. However, despite his penchant for self-preservation, the British paranormal investigator did save Earth countless times against magical and supernatural threats. In fact, Constantine’s many morbid adventures<\/a> could merit a grim and dark superhero game unlike others have ever seen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As such, a game with Constantine would rely more on immersion and narrative. In here, Constantine could fight zombies, ghosts, demons, and everything in between. Additionally, his magical arsenal and expertise could put him on the paths of other popular DC Comics magic-users and entities such as Zatanna, Raven, and even Swamp Thing. <\/span><\/p>\n
