Obsidian Entertainment appears to have stealth dropped a new update for\u00a0The Outer Worlds <\/em><\/strong>today\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>that bumps the game’s frame rate up to 60 FPS\u00a0when played on\u00a0Xbox Series X<\/a> and PlayStation 5. The news comes courtesy of several fans on Reddit and Twitter, who shared the news\u00a0over social media.<\/p>\n

The\u00a01.0.7 update \u2013 which will take up 26 GB of space \u2013 seems to be in accordance with the release of The Outer Worlds<\/a>‘\u00a0<\/em>next major DLC,\u00a0Murder on Eridanos,\u00a0<\/em>which will be dropping later this week. It will ensure players launching the\u00a0new intergalactic tale\u00a0are met with a better gameplay experience as they explore the additional content’s setting and battle its various threats.<\/p>\n

For those who aren’t aware of the DLC,\u00a0Murder on Eridanos<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>follows the death of a celebrity known as Halcyon Helen,\u00a0seeing the crew of the Unreliable venture out to solve the case. It will\u00a0feature\u00a0new weapons, armor, perks, flaws, and an increase to the level cap, raising it to 36. Much like the previous\u00a0Peril on Gorgon\u00a0<\/em>add-on, it appears to be a significant new chunk of\u00a0Outer Worlds\u00a0<\/em>gameplay for players to enjoy.<\/p>\n
