Ever since\u00a0Crysis Remastered<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0released to generally poor reception due to its lack of polish compared to the original release of\u00a0Crysis<\/em> in 2007, fans have been calling for upgrades to improve the game. Across all platforms,\u00a0Crysis Remastered<\/em> has suffered from technical issues and outdated first-person shooter gameplay.\u00a0Crysis Remastered<\/em> recently got DLSS support for PC<\/a>, which should help PC players moderately improve graphics and performance, but other platforms haven’t been given more necessary upgrades in order to optimize the game.<\/p>\n

That might change with a new announcement from\u00a0the\u00a0Crysis<\/em> Twitter account. The account tweeted yesterday that developer Crytek had released hotfixes for motion blur issues in\u00a0Crysis Remastered<\/em><\/a> as well as ensuring DLSS could be enabled on all systems that allowed it. Crytek followed up that tweet with another that teased “updates for both Xbox and PlayStation,” which has effectively caused fans of the game to launch into a discussion about what these upgrades could be.<\/p>\n

Crysis Remastered<\/em> is currently not available on next-gen consoles, but upgrade benefits for those with the newest systems seems like a sensible next step for the game. The hardware capabilities of the PS5 and Xbox Series X are much greater than those of older generation consoles, and this would be another chance for Crytek to optimize\u00a0Crysis Remastered<\/em> to push the limits of next-gen hardware as\u00a0Crysis<\/em> once did. The multiple graphics modes and ray-tracing capabilities in\u00a0Crysis Remastered<\/em><\/a> will function better on next-gen consoles, and fans are hoping even more next-gen features make it into the game.<\/p>\n
