Since then, Shiny Pokemon have appeared in every mainline\u00a0<em>Pokemon<\/em> title, introducing players to new ways to find and capture them.<\/p>\n<p>Over time, fans developed the pastime of <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-sword-shield-shiny-hunt-method-january-2021\/\">&#8220;Shiny hunting&#8221; in\u00a0<em>Pokemon<\/em> games,<\/a> which typically involves utilizing different methods to increase one&#8217;s chances of finding a Shiny Pokemon. For example, the Masuda method increases the odds of encountering\u00a0a Shiny when hatching eggs bred from Pokemon originating from 2 different real-world countries. However, it seems that one\u00a0<strong><em>Pokemon\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Sword<\/em><\/strong> and\u00a0<strong><em>Shield<\/em><\/strong> player has devised their own, much simpler Shiny hunting method.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-red-and-blue-unity-remake-id-software-dev\/\">Pokemon Red and Blue Get Fan Unity Remake Made by id Software Dev<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>In any\u00a0<em>Pokemon<\/em> game, Shiny Pokemon can take up to hundreds of hours to find, but every once in a while, the community sees a very lucky player find a quick Shiny. Over on Reddit, user SirMunzo posted a photo of their in-game character next to their newly caught Shiny Pokemon in <em><a href=\"http:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/pokemon-sword\">Sword<\/a><\/em> and\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/pokemon-shield\">Shield<\/a><\/em>. The user\u00a0explained that they simply tried to dress their character like the Shiny they were after, and ended up actually encountering it in only 2 attempts.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/PokemonSwordAndShield\/comments\/m3ev5e\/i_dressed_as_the_shiny_and_i_got_it_in_2_tries_i\/\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>SirMunzo was able to don a black and purple suit to match the colors of the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-sword-shield-competitive-tapu-fini-best\/\">Legendary Pokemon Tapu Fini,<\/a> and then joked that they may need more suits to match the colors of other Legendaries. Just last October, the\u00a0<i>Pokemon Sword<\/i> and\u00a0<em>Shield<\/em> games released its second DLC expansion, <em>The Crown Tundra<\/em>. One of the biggest features to come from this expansion was the Dynamax Adventures mode which sees\u00a0players work together, battling through a gauntlet of Dynamax Pokemon, finally\u00a0reaching a Legendary Pokemon from past games at the end, much like\u00a0the Tapu Fini SirMunzo encountered.<\/p>\n<p>Fans soon discovered that the Pokemon caught during <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-sword-and-shield-dynamax-adventures\/\">the Dynamax Adventures mode<\/a> had much\u00a0higher Shiny rates than normal, which ultimately led players to flock\u00a0to the mode in hopes of finding Shiny Pokemon. Since then, fans\u00a0have posted their differently-colored\u00a0Pokemon finds online for all to see, wishing each other good luck in the process.<\/p>\n<p><em>Pokemon GO<\/em> has begun to see its fair share of Shiny Pokemon as well, with new Shinies being added regularly, often being the core focus of many of the game&#8217;s new updates and events.
