The Game Boy\u2014running\u00a0<em>Pokemon Yellow\u00a0<\/em>in the photo\u2014is completely decked out in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/berserk\/\"><em>Berserk<\/em><\/a> art, and many of the buttons have been replaced by translucent red counterparts.<\/p>\n<p>The piece in question was put together\u00a0by pickedmods on Instagram, who has since stopped taking commissions. The Game Boy Classic&#8217;s shell was completely hand-painted by Instagram user tigerlilliexoxo with a\u00a0fearsome portrait of Guts, replete with sharp fangs and a menacing expression. The commission also includes a customized Berserk screen protector\u2014the frame surrounding the screen\u2014that was created by retromoddingcom on Instagram. The frame is decorated with a\u00a0collage of various characters that Guts encounters including Farnese, Judeau, and Gaston, among others. As a final neat touch, the battery indicator, which glows red, is placed directly over Guts&#8217; left eye, lending him a demonic appearance.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"related-single\">RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/cowboy-bebop-netflix-season-1-wraps\/\">Netflix&#8217;s Cowboy Bebop Finally Wraps Filming Its First Season<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Fans have seen Berserk crossover into all sorts of strange places including a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/berserk-guts-the-witcher-3-wild-hunt-mod\/\"><em>Witcher 3<\/em> mod from last year<\/a> that saw Geralt swapped out for the Black Swordsman. But the connection between\u00a0<em>Pokemon\u00a0<\/em>and Berserk may not be as farfetched as fans would think. In fact, the 1997 <em>Berserk<\/em> anime was created by OLM, the same studio\u00a0responsible for the\u00a0<em>Pokemon\u00a0<\/em>TV series.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/Berserk\/comments\/m6t3fs\/a_whole_mood_i_commissioned_this_gb_from_a_pal_on\/\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This beautiful piece of work comes as part of a wave in\u00a0a recent revival of Game Boy excitement. Just last week, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/game-boy-color-infinity-game\/\">a long-forgotten RPG called <em>Infinity<\/em><\/a>, which was intended for the Game Boy Color, began development nearly 20 years after its cancelation.
