While there have been various leaks and rumors about <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/xbox-gaming-event-march-2021-possible-date-change\/\">the Xbox gaming event<\/a>,\u00a0now there\u00a0is official news about\u00a0what to expect later this month straight from Xbox.<\/p>\n<p>A recent post\u00a0from Xbox Wire revealed details about the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/xbox\/\">Xbox<\/a> March 2021 event, what it is, what will be featured, and where players can check it out. Xbox&#8217;s ID@Xbox and Twitch will be partnering up to host an online showcase event next Friday, March 26, and it will show\u00a0many independent games, some of which players may be familiar with.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/xbox-free-games-dirt-5-rainbow-six-siege\/\">Xbox Makes Two Big Games Free To Play For Limited Time<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The event will feature\u00a0plenty of new independent titles, some that are already\u00a0coming out, along with new titles, too. According to\u00a0Xbox Wire, the\u00a0showcase will debut new trailers and gameplay videos for more than\u00a025 games. This includes\u00a0<em>Second Extinction<\/em>, <em>The Ascent<\/em>, <em>The Wild at Heart<\/em>, <em>Voidtrain<\/em>, and <em>Exo One<\/em>. It will also feature an update on <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/stalker-2-xbox-game-pass-day-one-new-protagonist\/\">the game\u00a0<em>S.T.A.L.K.E.R.\u00a02<\/em><\/a>, the upcoming survival horror that will be releasing\u00a0on the Xbox Series X\/S and PC. It will also\u00a0be available\u00a0on\u00a0Xbox Game Pass on day one of its launch.<\/p>\n<p>ID@Xbox is the Independent and Digital games publishing program\u00a0for Xbox. It allows independent game developers to self-publish <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/xbox-free-games-with-gold-march-2021\/\">digital\u00a0games on Xbox One<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Windows 10 via Xbox Live, and mobile devices. For this event, ID@Xbox will be teaming up\u00a0with Twitch for the first time. According to the post, as\u00a0part of the collaboration, the Twitch gaming showcase will feature over 100 indie video games.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"200\" height=\"113\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YbotLvkm-hc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>There will be promotions for games from developers and publishers around the globe, including Drinkbox Studios, Curve Digital, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/devolver-digital-announces-boomerang-x-pc-switch\/\">Devolver Digital<\/a>, and more. The event will have Community-favorite Twitch streamers to host the showcase, though Xbox Wire doesn&#8217;t say who. The streamers\u00a0will also be handling interviews with game\u00a0developers, take fan questions, and even drop some game codes as well.<\/p>\n<p>According to the post, the\u00a0Xbox Twitch gaming showcase\u00a0event will start\u00a0on Friday, March 26 at 9:00 a.m. PDT. However, the post\u00a0points out this is a window where time has changed in the US but not in other parts of the world, so the writer advises viewers to plan accordingly.
