There\u00a0is at least one\u00a0Genshin Impact<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0character who will appeal to anyone. Fans of swashbuckling rogues,\u00a0 smooth-talking rakes, and general tricksters will likely be drawn to the Cavalry Captain of Mondstadt’s Knights of Favonius. And like many\u00a0Genshin Impact<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>characters,\u00a0he has an extremely\u00a0cool history, though much of it is only hinted at in his introductory quest.<\/p>\n

Kaeya is a familiar face in-game, as he is one of the few characters every player can recruit for free. Unsurprisingly, that means that Kaeya is at the weaker end of the games’ spectrum of heroes, much like\u00a0the Knights of Favonius’ Outrider, Amber<\/a>. Players looking to build the most powerful Kaeya they can will likely want to snag artifacts from the Blizzard Strayer or Noblesse Oblige sets, and kit him out with a\u00a0sword\u00a0that will synergize with his energy recharge ascension stat.\u00a0Ultimately, though,\u00a0mechanics are\u00a0a secondary consideration\u00a0to most of Kaeya’s fans. The character’s greatest strengths are his striking design, effortlessly cool personality, and intriguing backstory.<\/p>\n

Kaeya is often referred to as the right hand man of the Knights of Favonius’ acting Grandmaster, Jean Gunnhildr. His roguish attire is considered eccentric, even by\u00a0Genshin Impact’<\/em>s bombastic anime standards<\/a>. Even though he is near the top of the Knights’ chain of command, Kaeya has a laidback, perennially irreverent attitude and possesses something of a sadistic streak. Kaeya will routinely tell outright lies to manipulate, threaten, or simply screw around with people\u2014whether they are friends, foes, or something in between.<\/p>\n

When it comes to methodologies, Kaeya seems to prefer gleeful scheming over straightforward plots, and feels that everything is fine as long as\u00a0it all shakes out as intended.\u00a0To provide one example,\u00a0in\u00a0his “Secret Pirate Treasure” story quest, Kaeya dupes Genshin Impact<\/em>‘s Traveler<\/a>\u00a0into catching a ring of Treasure Hoarders by baiting\u00a0Paimon\u00a0with rumors of a powerful sword.<\/p>\n
