The multiplayer mode, which includes both co-operative and player-versus-player content, is available via a patch now.<\/p>\n<p>Players can grab the online addition to\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/watch-dogs-legion\/\">Watch Dogs Legion<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>on PC now, catching up to the game&#8217;s console iterations after a wave of patches to give the PC port more stability online. The online mode includes 4 player co-op missions in the open world, playing on the game&#8217;s random character generation. This is in addition to separate <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/watch-dogs-legion-onlines-spiderbot-arena-improved\/\">PvP battles with <em>Watch Dogs Legion<\/em>&#8216;s spider-bot companions<\/a>. Ubisoft have confirmed the mode will be supported into the future with new content post-launch.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/watch-dogs-legion-ubisoft-games-overshadow-immortals-fenyx-rising\/\">Watch Dogs Legion Has the Same Problem That It Had Pre-Launch<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>Watch Dogs Legion\u00a0<\/em>launched to some controversy as one of Ubisoft&#8217;s first open world titles following the rushed release of\u00a0<em>Ghost Recon Wildlands,<\/em> prompting the company to delay\u00a0<em>Legion<\/em> alongside a few other titles to allow for more polish. Despite these delays, <em>Watch Dogs Legion<\/em> launched in October 2020 without an online mode, something its predecessor\u00a0<em>Watch Dogs 2\u00a0<\/em>had from day one. Added to the fact\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/watch-dogs-legion-online-multiplayer-delay-pc\/\"><em>Watch Dogs Legion<\/em>&#8216;s online mode patch was delayed<\/a> earlier in March, fans of the dystopian hacker&#8217;s open world have had to wait a while for this update, with Ubisoft owing the delay to a variety of technical issues within the PC version causing the game to crash.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/watchdogsgame\/status\/1367928214824378368?s=20\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The game&#8217;s state at launch was notably still rather unpolished, but overall changes to the title ultimately <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/watch-dogs-legion-review\/\">gave <em>Watch Dogs Legion<\/em> a reasonable rating overall<\/a>. The new online mode could be the breath of fresh air this dystopian version of London needs to get players back into <em>Watch Dogs Legion,\u00a0<\/em>though the 6 month wait some players have had to\u00a0sit through before experiencing the\u00a0game\u00a0online could be a case of too little, too late to reignite interest in the game.<\/p>\n<p><em>Watch Dogs Legion<\/em>&#8216;s cross-generation release could be part of the game&#8217;s technical woes, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/cyberpunk-2077-hype-bugs-fixes-redemption\/\">similar to those seen with <em>Cyberpunk 2077<\/em> recently<\/a>. The added burden of releasing across a wide variety of platforms, coupled with the infinitely varied hardware from PC gamer to PC gamer, means these issues aren&#8217;t likely to vanish soon.<\/p>\n<p>Combined with a good sale here and there, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/watch-dogs-legion-online-become-sci-fi-version-gta-online\/\"><em>Watch Dogs Legion<\/em>&#8216;s online multiplayer could help propel the game back into relevance<\/a>.
