What does that mean? It means you\u2019ll be treated to a big basket of upcoming indie titles from a plethora of studios.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>The event kicks off at 9 a.m. PT and will feature new game announcements from Drinkbox Studios, Devolver Digital, Curve Digital, and many more. Microsoft states the stream will showcase 25 game debuts and over 100 titles total. Confirmed games making appearances include:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Second Extinction<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span><span>Voidtrain<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/b\/news\/archive\/2018\/05\/15\/s-t-a-l-k-e-r-2-inexplicably-announced-for-2021.aspx\" ><span><span><span><span>S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><span><span>.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/inside-xbox\/2020\/05\/07\/indie-studio-neon-giant-announces-cyberpunk-themed-co-op-shooter-the-ascent\" ><span><span>The Ascent<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li><span><span>Exo One<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span><span>The Wild At Heart<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span><span>The event will also discuss new titles hitting Xbox Game Pass. On top of highlighting the games themselves, there will be plenty of interviews with indie developers conducted by yet-to-be-named Twitch streamers.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>Microsoft has been a busy bee as of late. In case you missed it, they closed the deal on their purchase of Bethesda which has led to a nice chunk of the publisher\u2019s portfolio landing on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2021\/03\/11\/xbox-game-pass-adds-20-bethesda-games\" >Xbox Game Pass<\/a>. When they\u2019re not buying up studios, they\u2019re realizing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2021\/03\/18\/xbox-and-the-rock-team-up-for-new-energy-drink-promotion-and-mini-fridge-giveaway\" >mini-fridges with help from The Rock<\/a> and dropping new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/impressions\/2021\/03\/15\/why-the-xbox-wireless-headset-is-a-good-option-for-series-x-owners\" >gaming headsets<\/a>. They\u2019ve got a lot of plates spinning over there but it all seems to be working out terms of building engagement with its fanbase.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>Between this, the Square Enix showcase this week, and Sony\u2019s own indie event a couple of weeks back, it\u2019s cool to see new games when more big titles are getting delayed. 2021 has largely been slow when it comes to AAA release and it\u2019s been mostly quality indie titles carrying the load in the early months.
