Most people can agree that it\u2019s always nice to get free stuff. Now, GOG is offering a free game download<\/a> as part of their Deep Silver Developer’s sale this weekend.<\/p>\n

More than fifty titles from developer Deep Silver are on sale right now, including a few games for as low as $2.99. Even better, customers who own a Deep Silver Title on GOG can get a free game, regardless of when they bought it.<\/p>\n

Between now and Monday, customers get a free download of Deadlight: Directors Cut<\/em><\/strong> with the purchase of any other game published by Deep Silver. Granted, \u201cfree with purchase\u201d isn\u2019t exactly the same as \u201cfree,\u201d but with classic tiles for less the five bucks, it’s definitely a good deal. Anyone who already owns a Deep Silver game through GOG can still download Deadlight: Director\u2019s Cut<\/em><\/a> absolutely free. So, customers will get the same fantastic deal whether they bought Iron Harvest<\/em> last year or this weekend.<\/p>\n

This extra incentive is on top of GOG\u2019s Deep Silver weekend publisher\u2019s sale<\/a>, which began Friday. And there are some truly spectacular deals for gamers who act fast. The aforementioned Iron Harvest<\/em> is currently 30 percent off.\u00a0 Meanwhile, shooter fans can buy the entire Red Faction<\/em> series for $14 total. That includes the Re-Mars-tered <\/em>edition of Red Faction: Guerrilla<\/em> for only $4. Other deals include Metro 2033: Redux <\/em>for $3.99, Painkiller: Black Edition<\/em> for $2, Saints Row: The Third \u2013 The Full Package<\/em> for $3, and Saints Row IV: Game of the Century Edition<\/em> for only $4.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s a lot of great games for less than the price of a typical\u00a0cafe-bought cup of coffee. Other titles on sale include Metro: Exodus<\/em>, post-apocalyptic turn-based strategy game Wasteland 3<\/em>, and open-world survival RPG Outward<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

These would be pretty good deals even if the purchase didn’t come with a free copy of the 2016 Deadlight: Director\u2019s Cut<\/em>. For anyone who missed out the first time, Tequila Works\u2019 Deadlight<\/em> is a fairly unique indie horror game. It stood out from the glut of late 2000s zombie games by being a moody 2D platformer instead of a high-octane shooter. Granted, \u201cmoody 2D platformer\u201d became the standard for indie games after a while, but it remains a memorable title.<\/p>\n

Deadlight<\/em> may not have aged as gracefully<\/a> as the developer might hope. Still, this sale offers an excellent opportunity for gamers to decide for themselves. That\u2019s especially true since it\u2019s entirely free for anyone who already purchased a Deep Silver title on Good Old Games. And considering the size of the studio\u2019s catalog, that is not too hard to do.<\/p>\n

The sale began Friday, March 19th, and ends at 2 PM UTC on Monday, March 22nd. That means gamers only have a limited time to take advantage of these great deals and receive their free game.<\/p>\n
