The title&#8217;s last developer video demonstrated <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/mlb-the-show-21-ps5-gameplay\/\">PS5 gameplay for\u00a0<em>MLB The Show 21<\/em><\/a>, specifically diving into the improved user controls for fielding a ball. Today&#8217;s video is all gameplay at 4K, 60 fps, and it just looks good.<\/p>\n<p>Next-gen consoles have the power to run games at more consistent frame rates with better resolution, and\u00a0<em>MLB The Show 21<\/em> will be no exception. Now that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/mlm-the-show-21-xbox-welcome-trailer\/\"><em>MLB The Show 21<\/em> has welcomed Xbox players into the family<\/a>, PS5 and Xbox Series X owners will have a chance at matching the performance shown off in this video. While it&#8217;s not exact, it still looks realistic, and the most noticeable improvements are in skin texture and eye movement. It&#8217;s also good to see fairly realistic movements from players when they aren&#8217;t doing typical baseball actions, like when performing a particular celebration dance.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"200\" height=\"113\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/FsyUu9a8p_0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>But even at 4K 60 FPS, there are still a few things to break immersion. Some of the contact physics, like when the ball meets the bat, are still a little stiff. Mouth movements are hit and miss.
