With Apex Legends<\/strong><\/em>\u2019s Chaos Theory collection event ending tomorrow, the Ring Fury limited-time-mode<\/a> has escalated one last time to Level 5. In what is surely Ring Fury\u2019s final variant, Level 5 introduces ring flares onto Kings Canyon and Olympus in large batches.<\/p>\n

As Ring Fury comes towards its end, it is no secret that player feedback on the mode has been largely negative due to technical issues and bugs causing annoying \u2018whoosh\u2019 sounds, and too much Kings Canyon. While it does not seem like any of Ring Fury\u2019s rules will become regular rules in Apex Legends<\/em><\/a> public matches, developers at Respawn are still considering updating the loot pool<\/a> to reflect the popular and recent Locked and Loaded LTM.<\/p>\n

Ring Fury Level 5 is definitely one of the more chaotic variants of the LTM, but it is not too different in terms of rules to the previous level. With Level 5, normal ring flares will spawn on the Kings Canyon or Olympus five at a time. This means that a lot more points of interest and good initial drop locations can get engulfed by ring flares right as the match starts compared to previous levels of Ring Fury.<\/p>\n

As soon as players load into a match, they should open the map and check where the first five-ring flares will open, and where the dropship is going so that jumpmasters can effectively plan their drops. Because ring flares spread themselves out across the map, players should also bear in mind that just because there are no nearby ring flares at the moment, does not mean they will be safe for the entire round. By the end of round one, ring flares will be scattered all over the area, making traveling to the next ring a bit difficult.<\/p>\n

Otherwise, normal Ring Fury rules apply in Level 5. At the end of each round, all current ring flares will shrink and disappear so that new ones can begin spawning in randomly to adjust to the new ring. Also, all players start each match with two Heat Shields. Given how quickly the map can fill with ring flares in this mode, using Heat Shields<\/a> to get through areas that have been cut off by ring flares is imperative to succeeding in this mode.<\/p>\n

As with Ring Fury Level 4, specific Legend picks are not as vital compared to previous levels. Mobility Legends, such as Octane<\/a>, who will likely get nerfed soon, are good for players to have on their side to help with getting around ring flares quickly and for repositioning.<\/p>\n

Level 5 of Ring Fury is the final variant of the LTM and will see out the Chaos Theory collection event, with the return of regular public matches and a new Ranked split with Olympus as the permanent map arriving immediately after. However, another Apex Legends<\/em> event has already leaked<\/a> ahead of time which may bring some changes to the game’s\u00a0rules and meta.<\/p>\n
