At today’s Xbox Indie Showcase, Devolver Digital unveiled an upcoming indie game titled\u00a0Death’s Door<\/em><\/strong> with impressive gameplay and a unique art style, making it stand out against the many games announced at the event.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, publisher Devolver Digital teased a new dark game<\/a> with a piece of interesting promotional art. It was certainly a headscratcher and fans weren’t sure what to expect, but that turned out to be the action-adventure game now known as\u00a0Death’s Door<\/em>. Here, players will assume the role of a crow in charge of collecting the souls of the dead. However, nothing has died for many years, meaning that the job has become quite boring. But the protagonist is finally offered the first big job in quite some time, and it looks to be a bit of a challenge.<\/p>\n

In an interview at today’s Xbox Indie Showcase event<\/a>, developers at Acid Nerve discuss the isometric indie game coming exclusively to Xbox (and PC) later this summer. They explain that this adventure is largely narrative-driven as opposed to past titles. The goal Acid Nerve hopes to achieve with Death’s Door<\/em>‘s atmosphere is to create a new fantasy world without leaning into any specific tropes.<\/p>\n
