Yet it seems that Capcom hasn&#8217;t perfected its work on Nintendo Switch yet. The studio has now confirmed that a very serious bug in <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/monster-hunter-rise\/\"><em>Monster Hunter Rise<\/em><\/a> could potentially ruin players&#8217; save files.<\/p>\n<p>The bug is a complete oddity, too, and will likely cause <em>Monster Hunter Rise<\/em> players to ask just how something like this could happen. According to Capcom, the issue is one of <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/monster-hunter-rise-palamute-hunter-emotes-response\/\"><em>Monster Hunter Rise<\/em>&#8216;s gestures<\/a>, an emote that players can use to communicate with other players. Equipping this gesture and then closing the game can cause players to experience an error the next time they try to load that save, rendering the save file unusable.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/monster-hunter-rise-apex-rathalos-april-2021\/\">Monster Hunter Rise Confirms Apex Rathalos and More New Content for April<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>As such, <em>Monster Hunter Rise<\/em> players should avoid using the Action\/Hurt Pose DLC gestures for the time being. This DLC is included in the official <em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/monster-hunter-rise-claim-dlc-items-pre-order-bonus-deluxe-edition-get\/\">Monster Hunter Rise<\/a><\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/monster-hunter-rise-claim-dlc-items-pre-order-bonus-deluxe-edition-get\/\"> DLC<\/a> Pack 1 bundle that&#8217;s currently being sold alongside the game. Keep in mind that just owning the DLC is entirely safe. It&#8217;s only when adding the\u00a0Action\/Hurt Pose gestures to an action bar and then quitting the game where it becomes a potential disaster for players&#8217; save files.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/monsterhunter\/status\/1375814308806938629\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The good news is that Capcom is fully aware of the situation. The company issued a statement to that effect Saturday morning, even adding that the gestures can still be used from <em>Monster Hunter Rise<\/em>&#8216;s start menu. The bad news is that Capcom does not currently have a fix for the bug or any information as to when it will be fixed. <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/monster-hunter-rise-day-one-update-patch-notes\/\">Capcom<\/a> is working on the issue, though, and says that it will have the fix in players&#8217; hands as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p>One thing that isn&#8217;t clear, likely because Capcom doesn&#8217;t know itself, is whether the <em>Monster Hunter Rise<\/em> fix will also allow players to return to their saves. It&#8217;s possible that once locked out, players&#8217; save files could become permanently inaccessible. Hopefully, that isn&#8217;t the case. <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/monster-hunter-rise-save-game-how-to\/\">Save files<\/a> don&#8217;t appear to corrupted so much as inaccessible, so Capcom&#8217;s fix could perhaps simply remove the problem without touching save files.<\/p>\n<p><em>Monster Hunter Rise<\/em> officially launched just yesterday, March 26, so Capcom&#8217;s turnaround on the problem has been quick so far. An official response for a serious bug discovered in a game&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/monster-hunter-rise-preload-when-how\/\">first 24-hours<\/a> isn&#8217;t bad. Now it&#8217;s just a matter of waiting to see how quickly Capcom can solve the issues for players.
