Genshin Impact<\/em><\/a>\u00a0is a free-to-play, open-world, action\u00a0RPG, gacha game released in September 2020 on PC, PS4, Android, and iOS. The game takes place in the gorgeous world of Teyvat, home to seven different nations that\u00a0are\u00a0all tied to a specific element<\/a>. Regardless of the player following the story of the Traveler, the protagonist, they can\u00a0play as many other captivating heroes.<\/p>\n

The third character the player picks up is Kaeya, who holds the title of “Frostwind Swordsman.” He controls the element of Cryo and\u00a0brandishes a Sword. Kaeya,\u00a0a four-star character, joins the squad\u00a0during the quest Crash Course.\u00a0He well-known, and well-liked, by the citizens of Mondstadt and holds the rank of the Cavalry Captain in the Knights of Favonius.<\/p>\n

This is Kaeya when it comes down to it, according to the game’s official website.\u00a0While he is quite eccentric and seems to hide many secrets, everybody loves Kaeya. While acting as one of the Knights of Favonius, he tells lies to the bad guys which, in turn, tricks them into telling him the truth. This is how Kaeya operates, focusing on the result and not worrying about the means to get there.<\/p>\n

9 <\/span>Kaeya According To The Game<\/h2>\n

“A thinker in the Knights of Favonius with a somewhat exotic appearance.”<\/p>\n

According to Kaeya’s\u00a0in-game character attributes<\/a>\u00a0text in the game, he is intelligent and easy on the eyes. Kaeya tends to be dramatic at times yet at the same time too laid-back. Around Mondstadt, he is referred to by the elderly as “top candidate for grandson-in-law.”<\/p>\n

That being said, Kaeya often challenges both his enemies and allies. He enjoys\u00a0intimidating\u00a0those who oppose him as much as those who fight alongside him.<\/p>\n

8 <\/span>Kaeya Looks\u00a0Like An Exotic Pirate<\/h2>\n

Just like pirates, Kaeya covers one of his eyes with an eyepatch. In fact, he said he inherited it from his grandfather (who he says was a pirate). On top of that, Kaeya has dark-tannish skin.<\/p>\n

Aside from this, he has light blue eyes and dark blue, short hair (with a rat tail). Kaeya dons a glorious white fur cloak and a white jacket (unbuttoned). Underneath is a navy shirt. He wears navy pants, black fingerless gloves, a gold earring, a chain, black boots, and a belt with his Vision attached.<\/p>\n

Sometimes Kaeya hangs out in the streets of Mondstadt, other times he is out in the field striking monsters down. Kaeya stops his enemies in their tracks<\/a> with the element of Cryo and then shatters them to pieces with his sharp Sword.<\/p>\n

His normal attack is called Ceremonial Bladework; Kaeya’s elemental skill is Frostgnaw; his elemental burst is Glacial Waltz; Kaeya’s first Ascension passive talent is Cold-Blooded Strike; his fourth Ascension passive is Glacial Heart; and Kaeya’s utility passive talent is Hidden Strength.<\/p>\n

6 <\/span>Kaeya’s Favorite Flower Is A Lily<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

To\u00a0level up a character’s talents<\/a>, the\u00a0player must collect\u00a0many, many materials.\u00a0Kaeya in particular\u00a0needs Teachings of Ballad, Guide to Ballad, and Philosophies of Ballad; he also requires Treasure Hoarder Insignia,\u00a0Silver Raven Insignia, and Golden Raven Insignia; and Kaeya demands a Spirit Locket of Boreas.<\/p>\n

When it comes to Ascension, he wants\u00a0Shivada Jade\u00a0(Sliver, Fragment, Chunk, Gemstone), Hoarfrost Core, Insignia (Treasure Hoarder, Silver Raven, Golden Raven), and Calla Lily.\u00a0This kind of flower is found near the water and tastes\u00a0sweet (and slightly bitter). It is also used in medicine.<\/p>\n

5 <\/span>Kaeya Uses Pavo Ocellus<\/h2>\n

In the game, Constellations are used for\u00a0the character progression system<\/a>. They are unlocked with a Stella Fortuna (only obtainable through pulling duplicate characters via Wishes). Kaeya’s Constellation is Pavo Ocellus, which is Latin for “Peacock Eyespot.”<\/p>\n

If Kaeya levels up in his\u00a0Constellation, he can put up a shield, and his Glacial Waltz will stay active longer, hit harder, and generate more icicles. From levels one to six, they are\u00a0Excellent Blood, Never-Ending Performance, Dance of Frost, Frozen Kiss, Frostbiting Embrace, and Glacial Whirlwind.<\/p>\n

4 <\/span>Kaeya Was Adopted By The Ragnvindrs<\/h2>\n

Kaeya’s last name is Alberich. However, he is\u00a0the adopted\u00a0of the Ragnvindr Family. They are a wealthy,\u00a0distinguished house in Mondsadt known for their business the Dawn Winery.<\/p>\n

This means he is technically the brother of Diluc\u00a0Ragnvindr, who is another playable character. Diluc runs the\u00a0Dawn Winery and used to be a part of the Knights of Favonius. Kaeya, however, does not refer to Diluc as his brother (anymore).<\/p>\n

3 <\/span>Kaeya\u00a0Likes His Food Nice And Sweet<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Fruity Skewers\u00a0is a special food item that the player has a chance to create by cooking Chicken-Mushroom Skewer with Kaeya. It is his favorite meal\u00a0and specialty made\u00a0mushroom and fowl. That’s right, there is no fruit at all in this dish<\/a>. Apparently, the fruitiness comes from marinating the chicken in sparkling white wine.<\/p>\n

According to the game,\u00a0“A chewy skewer with a rich sweet aftertaste. Wait…Is this really the smell of fruit?”<\/p>\n

2 <\/span>Kaeya And His Vision<\/h2>\n

The night after Crepus Ragnvindr died (killed by his son Diluc to free him from the evil power of a Delusion), there was a torrential downpour. But Kaeya did not grieve. This is because secretly he was an agent of Khaenri’ah, deployed in Mondstadt to\u00a0act undercover. Still, he was abandoned by his biological father, and yet\u00a0Crepus took him in. Kaeya was confused.<\/p>\n

That night, Kaeya came clean to Diluc because he was overwhelmed with guilt. And they fought. While in the midst of the swordfight, Kaeya’s Vision appeared and allowed him to counteract Diluc’s fire with his ice.<\/p>\n

1 <\/span>Kaeya\u00a0Was Born On November 30<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

On November 30,\u00a0Kaeya was born, which would him a Sagittarius. This makes\u00a0no sense because the element of this zodiac sign is Fire; that is the opposite of Ice. That being said, a couple of the traits do line up as he is indeed idealistic and has a great sense of humor.<\/p>\n
