Doom Eternal<\/strong> has just wrapped up the rebooted series’ story, the one that kicked off with Doom<\/strong> in 2016, but that doesn’t mean id Software is done with the series just yet.<\/span><\/p>\n

In an interview with Polygon<\/a>, Doom Eternal game director Hugo Martin has dropped some hints that the series could go on to cover more, untold stories in the future – and that the story of rebooted Doom, really, could only just be beginning.<\/p>\n

“While this is the end of the story arc that began in Doom (2016), we planted a lot of stakes in the ground with that story,” Martin explains in the interview. “And we’ve been able to flesh out a lot of those things throughout the course of [Doom Eternal] and to do two DLCs.”<\/p>\n

“[…] But there are more stories to tell with the Doom Slayer, for sure.”<\/p>\n
