Shows like\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/the-falcon-and-the-winter-soldier\/\"><strong><em>The Falcon and The Winter Soldier<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, which just made its debut on Disney Plus, rely on\u00a0its actors to\u00a0give justice to the strong bonds shared between the characters in the stories.<\/p>\n<p>In the case of Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes, their close relationship that we see\u00a0in the MCU stories\u00a0feels natural because Mackie and Sebastian Stan &#8211; the actors who play them &#8211; are close friends in real life.\u00a0A dynamic duo always\u00a0makes for good film and television, and it can be addicting to <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/sebastian-stan-anthony-mackie-leadership\/\">watch Mackie and Stan&#8217;s friendship evolve<\/a>, both on-screen and off.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/chris-evans-captain-america-kevin-feige-rumor\/\">Kevin Feige Shuts Down Rumor Of Chris Evans&#8217; Captain America Returning<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>In a recent episode of Comedy Central&#8217;s <em>Stir Crazy with Josh Horowitz<\/em>, Mackie and Stan participated in some fun\u00a0exercises, including\u00a0a tough &#8220;Would You Rather&#8221;\u00a0debate\u00a0and a guessing game involving <a href=\"https:\/\/comicbook.com\/marvel\/news\/falcon-and-winter-soldier-stir-crazy-episode-marvels-best-butt\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the butts of their Marvel co-stars<\/a>. But perhaps the best part of the interview was when they tested their individual friendships with Evans, a.k.a Captain America himself, who retired from his role in the MCU after the release of Marvel Studios&#8217; <em>Avengers: Endgame<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"200\" height=\"113\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/00LvTCyvydU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Horowitz asked the actors who they thought Evans would text back first if they were both to text him at the same time. Skipping any and all speculation, Mackie and Stan went straight to the test and texted Evans simultaneously, then waited to see who would get a response back first. After a few minutes, Mackie confirmed that Evans replied to him first. &#8220;Aha! Evans just hit me back!&#8221; said Mackie. Stan immediately accepted defeat, saying, &#8220;Not me!&#8221; after Mackie&#8217;s announcement &#8211; but then, a split second later, Evans&#8217; text came through on his phone. &#8220;Oh, he got me! He beat me by a second, I love him!&#8221; exclaimed Stan, seemingly surprised by the speed of Evans&#8217; reply.<\/p>\n<p>Horowitz then asked what both of them ended up texting Evans in order\u00a0to elicit a response from him. Mackie said, &#8220;Nothing, &#8216;I love you&#8217; &#8211; he texted me back, &#8216;I love you too; miss you,'&#8221; while Stan said: &#8220;I love you, hope you&#8217;re good,&#8221; with Evans adding, &#8220;He [Mackie] beat you by a sec.'&#8221; No wonder\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/falcon-winter-soldier-captain-america-shield\/\">Sam got the Captain America shield<\/a>\u00a0after an elderly Steve Rogers relinquished his superhero title and Bucky didn&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s nice to see that Stan and Mackie\u00a0are so close in real life.
