Genshin Impact<\/em><\/a>\u00a0is a free-to-play, open-world, action\u00a0RPG, gacha game released in September 2020 on PC, PS4, Android, and iOS. The game takes place in the bright world of Teyvat, home to seven different nations that\u00a0are\u00a0all tied to a specific element<\/a>. Although the player follows the story of the Traveler, the protagonist, they can\u00a0play as many other awesome heroes.<\/p>\n

Presenting Zhongli, referred to as the “Vago Mundo,” which means “Empty World” in Portuguese. (Edgy!) He controls the element of Geo and uses a Polearm in combat. Zhongli,\u00a0a five-star character, is a consultant for the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. But more importantly, he is the Geo Archon; Zhongli is the vessel for Morax (the God of Contracts and Rex Lapis).<\/p>\n

“Wangsheng Funeral Parlor’s mysterious consultant. Handsome, elegant, and surpassingly learned.Though no one knows where Zhongli is from, he is a master of courtesy and rules. From his seat at Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, he performs all manner of rituals.”<\/p>\n

This is what\u00a0Zhongli’s description reads on the game’s official website. He is regarded as gentle and well-mannered. Zhongli seems to know an endless amount about the history of Liyue and its culture thanks to serving as the Geo Archon. He appears humble too despite being bourgeois.<\/p>\n

9 <\/span>Zhongli According To The Game<\/h2>\n

“A mysterious expert contracted by the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. Extremely knowledgeable in all things.”<\/p>\n

This is Zhongli’s\u00a0in-game character attributes<\/a>\u00a0text in the game. He is considered insanely smart\u00a0yet very crafty<\/a>. While the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor is in the business of burying the dead, they also hold…concerts? One time, Zhongli invited Xinyan to perform at his workplace. This was no small feat as rock music is quite taboo in Liyue. He showed not only open-mindedness here but eccentricity as well.<\/p>\n

Also, Zhongli was born on December 31 (New Year’s Eve), which would make him a Capricorn…the element of which is earth (or, Geo).<\/p>\n

8 <\/span>Zhongli Literally Created Mora (Money)<\/h2>\n

The player finds out at some point that Zhongli was the creator of Mora, using his Gnosis as the Geo Archon. He initially made the currency so he would not have to worry about going poor since he was a god and all. Zhongli’s plan backfired once he decided to live among the humans since he forgot to set aside at least an adequate amount of funds for himself.<\/p>\n

Funny thing is, Zhongli is careless too when it comes to spending money. He winds up using up large sums of Mora here and there and then counting on others, especially his workplace (the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor), to cover him.<\/p>\n

7 <\/span>Zhongli Is A God (Actually)<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

As the vessel (for now) for Morax, Zhongli is basically a god (or at least a demi-god). However, the player discovers in the story of the game that Morax, referred to as Rex Lapis, was cruel and merciless<\/a>. He slaughtered many other gods during the Archon War, enough to earn him the title God of War. Zhongli, titled the God of Contracts, is not far off; he claims that anyone who breaks contracts made with him will suffer the “Wrath of the Rock.”<\/p>\n

That being said, Zhongli often shows great love for Liyue. He mentions thinking about stepping down as the Geo Archon; Zhongli even fakes his own death during the Rite of Decision to test how the people of Liyue would react to him disappearing. Fortunately, he walks this back and vows to protect Liyue in The Fond Farewell quest.<\/p>\n

6 <\/span>Zhongli\u00a0Is One Handsome Devil<\/h2>\n

He is tall, dark, and handsome. Actually, Zhongli has pale skin; but he is still tall and handsome<\/a>. Zhongli has amber eyes<\/a> and long black hair with brown tips, most of which is pulled back in a ponytail.<\/p>\n

On top of that, he really sells the part where he works at a funeral parlor. Zhongli wears a gray formal shirt, black formal pants, and black leather shoes. He dresses fancy with a long brown-and-silver coat with shoulder pads and tassels as well as the symbol of Rex Lapis (on the back). Zhongli accessorizes with gloves, a silver ring, an earring on one of his ears. He also has a crystal orb (his Vision) attached to a chain on his coat.<\/p>\n

5 <\/span>Zhongli Has Solid, Tough Talents<\/h2>\n

It should come as no surprise that Zhongli, the Geo Archon, absolutely demolishes foes when in combat.\u00a0He is the total embodiment of his element<\/a>, Geo, and lunges at enemies with his Polearm (after dropping enormous boulders on their heads).<\/p>\n

Zhongli’s normal attack is called Rain of Stone; his elemental skill is Dominus Lapidis; Zhongli’s elemental burst is Planet Befall; his first Ascension passive talent is Resonant Waves; Zhongli’s fourth Ascension passive is Dominance of Earth; his utility passive talent is Arcanum of Crystal.<\/p>\n

4 <\/span>Zhongli\u00a0Unsurprisingly Enjoys Stones<\/h2>\n

To\u00a0level up a character’s talents, the player needs to acquire numerous materials. When it comes to Zhongli, he likes Teachings of Gold, Guide to Gold, and Philosophies of Gold; Albedo also prefers Slime Condensate, Slime Secretions, and Slime Concentrate; and he is a fan of the\u00a0Tusk of Monoceros Caeli.<\/p>\n

When it comes to Ascension, Zhongli wants lots of\u00a0Prithiva Topaz (Sliver, Fragment, Chunk, Gemstone) and more Slime (Condensate, Secretions, Concentrate). He also needs to get his hands on Basalt Pillars, which are the heaviest components of Geo Hypostasis, and Cor Lapis, which are precious crystals containing the purest form of the Geo element.<\/p>\n

3 <\/span>Zhongli Uses\u00a0Lapis Dei<\/h2>\n

Lapis Dei is the name of Zhongli’s constellation, the character progression system. Each constellation is unlocked with a Stella Fortuna (which is only obtainable through pulling duplicates via Wishes). Lapis Dei is Latin for “God of Stone.”<\/p>\n

If the player decides to invest in Zhongli, he\u00a0can summon another Stone Stele and protect allies with Jade Shields (after bringing a falling meteor down to the ground). From levels one to six, they are Rock, the Backbone of Earth,\u00a0Stone, the Cradle of Jade,\u00a0Jade, Shimmering through Darkness,\u00a0Topaz, Unbreakable and Fearless,\u00a0Lazuli, Herald of the Order, and Chrysos, Bounty of Dominator.<\/p>\n

Slow-Cooked Bamboo Shoot Soup is a special food item that the player has a chance to cook up by making Bamboo Shoot Soup with Zhongli. It is his favorite dish and specialty, made with\u00a0raw meat, ham, and bamboo shoots.<\/p>\n

According to the game,\u00a0“The ham is a butt end selected according to Yuehai Pavilion’s gourmet standards. The fresh meat is pork belly, freshly hunted in Springvale, while the bamboo shoots are the densest you’ll find in Qingce Village. It is then heated, slowly, gently, and with the utmost care and technique… Such a “particular” taste may only be shared with those who know how to appreciate it.”<\/p>\n
