The comic will be an 80-page issue with three different light-hearted stories throughout.<\/p>\n<p>When\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/sonic-the-hedgehog-30th-anniversary-comic-book\/\">news of the <em>Sonic<\/em> comic broke<\/a> last week, details were relatively scarce, but now, a panel hosted by IDW and posted to YouTube\u00a0gives fans a little more to work with. The headlining story will be <em>Seasons of Chaos<\/em>, written by Mark Flynn with art by Aaron Hammerstrom and Reggie Graham. Flynn described the story as a\u00a0melodrama-free\u00a0narrative\u00a0that feels akin to the\u00a0<em>Sonic Mania Adventures<\/em> cartoons. He also teased that &#8220;a bunch&#8221; of classic characters will make appearances, guaranteeing fans of course Sonic, Tails, Amy, Knuckles, but also Mighty, Ray, Metal Sonic, and tons of others.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/sonic-the-hedgehog-30th-anniversary-encyclopedia-release-date\/\">Sonic the Hedgehog 30th Anniversary Encyclopedia Releasing in 2021<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>While it&#8217;s easy to focus on\u00a0Sonic&#8217;s birthday, Dr. Eggman is not one to be forgotten easily. Gale Gilligan&#8217;s story, <em>Dr. Eggman&#8217;s Birthday<\/em>, with art by Thomas Rothlisberger and Nathalie Fourdraine, will be centered around Sonic&#8217;s villainous counterpart. With each passing year acting as a reminder of his futile efforts to catch Sonic, Dr. Eggman will spend his birthday\u00a0as he normally does, in\u00a0total frustration.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"200\" height=\"113\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MxrlC3F46CM?start=823&#038;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The third story in the comic is titled <em>Sonic Learns to Drive<\/em> written by brother team Justin, Travis, and Griffin McElroy with art by Mauro Fonseca. While the team\u00a0did not join the panel, fans can likely expect another light-hearted romp.<\/p>\n<p>For fans who cannot get enough, another <em>Sonic<\/em> comic is planned for Free Comic Book Day 2021, also written by Gale Gilligan.
