A new\u00a0Battlefield<\/strong><\/em> game is in development, but beyond that, nothing is known about the title in an official capacity. While EA and DICE have kept quiet about what fans can expect from the new\u00a0Battlefield<\/em><\/a> game, a prominent leaker may have let some details slip, including the title and setting.<\/p>\n

Tom Henderson, a leaker primarily known for leaking\u00a0Call of Duty<\/em> news, has made a new post that claims to reveal all kinds of details about the new\u00a0Battlefield\u00a0<\/em>game. According to Henderson,\u00a0Battlefield 6<\/em> will actually go with the simple title of\u00a0Battlefield<\/em><\/a> and is set 10 years in the future, using a “modern\/very near future” setting, which will allow it to utilize some military equipment that is in active development today.\u00a0In his post, Henderson compares the setting in the new\u00a0Battlefield<\/em>\u00a0game to\u00a0Call of Duty: Black Ops 2<\/em>, meaning it will have things like military robots, drones, and other technologically advanced weaponry.<\/p>\n

Henderson also touches on what fans can expect from the gameplay. He pushes back against the recent rumors that the new\u00a0Battlefield<\/em>\u00a0game<\/a> will be a hub of older\u00a0Battlefield<\/em> games, but says that the campaign will be “revolutionary.” In the new\u00a0Battlefield<\/em>, players can apparently choose to play on the side of the USA or Russia, and that there will be co-op gameplay.<\/p>\n

Battlefield<\/em> games have rarely ever focused on the campaigns, so luckily Henderson provides some details on what fans can expect from the multiplayer. According to the leaker,\u00a0the new\u00a0Battlefield\u00a0<\/em>game’s multiplayer<\/a> is like\u00a0Battlefield 3<\/em> and\u00a04<\/em> “on steroids.” It will also apparently include a battle royale experience that will retain the class-based gameplay that the series is known for.<\/p>\n

As for when fans will get to see the new\u00a0Battlefield<\/em> game for themselves, Henderson hints that a\u00a0Battlefield 6<\/em> reveal\u00a0trailer<\/a> will drop in May. Until the official reveal takes place, fans should take all of this information with a massive grain of salt. It’s entirely possible that Henderson has been fed incorrect information or is making stuff up. Henderson does have a pretty accurate track record of video game leaks, though, so it will be interesting to see how much of this turns out to be true.<\/p>\n

These aren’t the only “leaks” about\u00a0Battlefield 6<\/em> lately. Other claims have pointed to\u00a0Battlefield 6<\/em> having massive multiplayer maps<\/a> that will accommodate 128 players at a single time, as well as fully destructible cities. Hopefully fans get some clarification sooner rather than later.<\/p>\n

Battlefield\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>is in development for unspecified platforms.<\/p>\n
