Within the last 2 hours,\u00a0<em><strong>Persona<\/strong> <\/em>fans have managed to get #<em>Persona5<\/em>Racing trending on Twitter.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/persona\/\"><em>Persona<\/em><\/a> is a series of Japanese role-playing games with intricate stories and complex characters. <em>Persona 5<\/em> racing is a little-known meme among the fandom of these games that began with the first teasers for <em>Persona 5 Royal<\/em>, around December 2018. When Atlas first announced <em>Persona 5 Royal,<\/em>\u00a0it referred to it only as \u201c<em>Persona 5 R<\/em>.\u201d This led to many fan speculations, among these fan speculations being\u00a0jests that<em> Persona 5 R<\/em> stood for <em>Persona 5<\/em> <em>Racing<\/em>. On the 27th of December, 2018, user @belasquez_alex became the first person to tweet about the \u201ctheory.\u201d Now, several years later, Twitter chaos has ensued.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/persona-5-queen-makoto-nijima-megahouse-lucrea-figure\/\">Persona 5 Makoto Figure Revealed for September Release<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Today, around two hours ago, a Twitter user going by the name @persona_images rallied the <em>Persona<\/em> army with a single tweet. \u201cYou know how we got #personaisoverparty trending? What if we got #<em>Persona5<\/em>Racing trending next.\u201d This tweet now has only just over 400 favorites, but it appears the <em>Persona<\/em> fandom, far and wide, heard the call to arms. Within an hour, #Persona5Racing was trending. <em>Persona<\/em> fans are now using the hashtag to flood Twitter with memes, ridiculous concept images, and feigned enthusiasm about the \u201cnew game.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/persona_images\/status\/1376982413516095496\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Those who keep up with Twitter fads or the <em>Persona<\/em> fandom might remember <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/persona-fans-get-personaisoverparty-trending-twitter\/\">#personaisoverparty trending on Twitter<\/a> only a week or so ago. The source of that trend was the very same @<em>persona<\/em>_images who is again rallying the <em>Persona<\/em> fans today. Much of the \u201cpersonaisoverparty\u201d hashtag revolved around mocking Twitter cancel-culture. The hashtag\u2019s &#8220;structure x is over party&#8221; is like those that have been used against celebrities and other public figures. <em>Persona<\/em> fans mocked the concept by jokingly insisting the games were offensive and the fandom was done with the video games.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ladraodeorgao\/status\/1376983795346329602\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>A lot of fans are likely to be entertained by the Twitter chaos. It is an amusing bit of fun and a harmless way of showing love for the <em>Persona<\/em> series. Some fans may question the point of getting a hashtag trending for the sole purpose of having it trending. Still, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/persona-5-strikers-memes\/\">the more <em>Persona<\/em> memes<\/a> and art in the world, the better.
