A cross-play beta is coming for\u00a0Knockout City<\/strong><\/em>, the upcoming competitive dodgeball-like multiplayer game from Velan Studios. Knockout City<\/em> is releasing in just a couple of months, but players will be able to test the waters of this over-the-top online experience ahead of time thanks to the open beta.<\/p>\n

Knockout City<\/em> was first revealed during a Nintendo Direct earlier this year, and a gameplay trailer of Knockout City<\/em><\/a>\u00a0<\/em>was shown during the\u00a0PlayStation State of Play just about a week later. The fact that the game was shown at those two events is a good indication that\u00a0Velan Studios intends to play nice with all parties involved. The game and this\u00a0open beta are cross-play compatible, which is also proof of that.<\/p>\n

Valen Studios and\u00a0EA<\/a> officially announced the Knockout City<\/em> cross-play beta earlier today. Those who are interested do not need to pre-order the game and will not need any beta keys. All players need to do is download the beta, which can be done from a browser or within the chosen console’s “store\/eshop.” It is possible to pre-load the beta now, but it will not go live until April 2, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. ET. The beta lasts through April 4, 2021, at 9:00 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n
