But it’s always nice to have options.<\/p>\n

Waframe <\/em>really raised the bar for free-to-play titles with the wealth of content put at the player’s disposal, and the thrilling, action-packed multiplayer action certainly doesn’t hurt matters. Each of the following games execute at least one ingredient of Warframe<\/em>‘s recipe for runaway success incredibly well, so you’re bound to find something you’ll enjoy.<\/p>\n

These have also been seen in regularly-released games as well, meaning there are several games that are similar to Warframe. Since many players may have gone through the list of games originally mentioned, it\u2019s worth checking out the additional entries to have more options when selecting your next playthrough. It\u2019s also a good idea to mix things up as well. So, in addition to playing games that stick close to Warframe\u2019s style, there are also titles that are massive in content but have directions of their own.<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

15 <\/span>Payday 2<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Similar to\u00a0<\/span>Warframe<\/span><\/i>, Payday 2<\/em>\u00a0also focuses on working as a unit and delivers its entertainment value through elements found in the environment. <\/span>Payday 2<\/span><\/i>\u2019s charm lies in the teamwork involved, although players can work alone as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

By completing heists, more options become available, leading to greater playing value. The number of ways the heists can be completed is one of the biggest selling points for the game. Not to mention the thematic qualities that are aligned with <\/span>Warframe<\/span><\/i> despite the vastly different backdrops for the games.<\/span><\/p>\n

14 <\/span>Saints Row IV<\/h2>\n

Despite the fanbase it\u2019s collected, there\u2019s no doubt the backstory of <\/span>Warframe<\/span><\/i> being about a race of warriors from the past fighting in the future is bizarre. Due to this, fans will like <\/span>Saints Row IV<\/span><\/i> for its similarly ridiculous concept of fighting an alien with superpowers while controlling the president as the playable character.<\/span><\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t have the same shooting mechanics as <\/span>Warframe<\/span><\/i>, but <\/span>Saints Row IV<\/span><\/i> can be considered as a palette cleanser of sorts for delivering the massive environment fans went along with its own take in gameplay.<\/span><\/p>\n

13 <\/span>Fortnite<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Most won\u2019t need an introduction to this game, seeing as it has hundreds of millions of players. <\/span>Fortnite <\/span><\/i>can be considered as <\/span>Warframe<\/span><\/i>\u2019s scale taken to over-the-top levels, as the gameplay is essentially a grand battle royale.<\/span><\/p>\n

Essentially the same as <\/span>Warframe<\/span><\/i>, Anthem\u00a0<\/em>revolves around\u00a0<\/em>characters known as Freelancers who wear exosuits to fight against numerous foes who threaten humanity. <\/span>Anthem<\/span><\/i> has the basic premise of a game of its genre, complete with online multiplayer.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are other gameplay techniques like RPG elements and romantic subplots, although the main focus remains on exploring the world and heading into battles with your co-players.<\/span><\/p>\n

11 <\/span>Let It Die<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

A\u00a0free-to-play game like <\/span>Warframe<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>Let It Die<\/span><\/i> doesn\u2019t have as much versatility as Digital Extremes’ title. However, for those who are fans of games with plenty of levels and a difficult gameplay experience, this one is the best option.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Let It Die<\/span><\/em>\u00a0has role-playing elements to go with the hardcore action involved. <\/span>Let It Die<\/span><\/i>\u2019s combat\u00a0is closer to something like\u00a0<\/span>Dark Souls<\/span><\/i>\u00a0than Warframe<\/em>,\u00a0<\/em>but its seemingly endless foes\u00a0set Grasshopper Manufacture’s game apart.<\/span><\/p>\n

10 <\/span>Warface<\/h2>\n

It can be argued that\u00a0Warface<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Warframe<\/em>\u00a0are dissimilar, and it’s only the name that bears a resemblance. However, it’s hard to ignore that they both came out in the same year and have comparable gameplay.<\/p>\n

Microtransactions can get in the way of competitive PVP, especially for\u00a0Warface<\/em>. While Warframe<\/em> integrates a smart micropayment business model that supplements its loot rewards system,\u00a0Warface<\/em>\u00a0is not subtle about pay-to-win. Nevertheless, many enjoy\u00a0Warface\u00a0<\/em>for being a great MMOFPS (massively multiplayer online<\/a> first-person shooter).<\/p>\n

9 <\/span>Titanfall 2<\/h2>\n

The sequel to Titanfall<\/em><\/a> was an instant classic. The decision to add\u00a0a single-player campaign and polish the multiplayer was gaming ingenuity. In Titanfall<\/em> 2<\/em>, players are known as “pilots,” who command “Titans.” Titans are mecha-style robots<\/a> capable of utter destruction. A blend of player versus player and titan versus titan combat creates a mind-blowing experience.<\/p>\n

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic<\/em> uses a spaceship for its central hub like Warframe<\/em>. Both games have crafting menus for players to upgrade their gear. What Waframe<\/em> lacks in mission quality it makes up for in variety and online co-op functionality.<\/p>\n

Borderlands 3<\/em>\u00a0is, in many ways, the dystopian first-person version of\u00a0Warframe.\u00a0<\/em>While\u00a0Warframe<\/em>\u00a0has more melee weapon variety,\u00a0Borderlands 3<\/em>\u00a0has\u00a0a more developed loot system unique to each player. You see the same loot items as other players. If an item drops, both players can pick up one of two identical items.<\/a> Whether you\u00a0prefer the surreal space exploration setting of\u00a0Warframe<\/em>\u00a0or the beaten-down future of\u00a0Borderlands<\/em>, both games are worth playing.<\/p>\n

4 <\/span>Diablo III<\/h2>\n

When it comes to loot-based games,\u00a0Diablo III<\/em><\/a>\u00a0is one of the biggest names.\u00a0Diablo III\u00a0<\/em>is a top choice<\/a> if you’re looking for fun and addictive gameplay coupled with a polished loot system. The\u00a0Diablo<\/em>\u00a0series helped popularize loot-based games.\u00a0Diablo IV<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>might be a long way off, yet\u00a0Diablo III<\/em>\u00a0continually\u00a0introduces new seasons packed with unique items for players to relish.<\/p>\n

3 <\/span>Path Of Exile<\/h2>\n

Some video games have a substantial grinding for experience points<\/a> component that becomes the focus. Grinding for experience points can be fulfilling for players because it goes hand in hand with finding loot and playing with friends.<\/p>\n

Bungie’s Destiny 2<\/em><\/a> might not have the free-flow motions that Warframe<\/em> has, but both games do involve acrobatics. With a comparable loot system and gameplay, Warframe<\/em> made strides before the first Destiny<\/em> was released.\u00a0Destiny 2<\/em> and Waframe<\/em> allow players to travel to different planets and moons in\u00a0our solar system.
