As such, it seems fitting that Redditor and <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/call-of-duty\/\"><em>Call of Duty<\/em><\/a> Zombies fan Zachawee made it the focus of a special art piece.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-duty-black-ops-cold-war-zombies-ray-gun-history\/\">Ray Gun\u2019s lengthy history<\/a> has been well-documented, with the weapon\u2019s origins being just as unique as its overall design. Featuring in campaign easter eggs, Zombies maps, internet memes, and everything in between, the original Wonder Weapon is one of the most recognizable items in the\u00a0<em>Call of Duty <\/em>franchise. Having an awesome reload animation, standout noises, and a flashy exterior, the single-handed weapon has appeared in every Treyarch game since <em>Call of Duty: World at War<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war-zombies-season-2-reloaded-intel-guide\/\">Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies &#8211; Season 2 Reloaded Intel Guide<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>While there have been several variants of the Ray Gun, such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-of-duty-ray-gun-mark-2-trivia\/\">stronger Ray Gun Mark 2<\/a> and the interesting Ray Gun Mark 3, artist Zachawee seems particularly attached to the basic version of the weapon. Showing off an art piece that likely took several hours to create, the Redditor\u2019s take on the classic weapon is genuinely gorgeous. Pulled off using only pens and some black ink, the only thing missing from the Redditor\u2019s art piece is the Ray Gun\u2019s signature red color scheme.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/CODZombies\/comments\/mhedbw\/my_pen_and_ink_drawing_of_the_ray_gun\/\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The Redditor\u2019s art piece shows off excellent shading, with each piece of the gun standing out from another. The glowing, exposed interior of the gun can be seen clearly, as can the gauge and the special sights on the back of the weapon. The bolts of electricity on both the top of <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-duty-fan-creates-awesome-ray-gun-replica\/\">the Ray Gun and its barrel<\/a> are kept intact, showing Zachawee\u2019s eye for detail clearly. With the handguard and side switch also included, this incredible artwork proved popular with fans almost instantly.<\/p>\n<p>Currently sitting at over 5,000 upvotes, the post is filled to the brim with comments asking for a print. While it is unclear if the artist will sell prints of their work, this post is the latest in a recent string of creative pieces shared on the subreddit. Replicas of other weapons like the Thundergun and Wunderwaffe DG-2 have also been shared, while a fan-made commercial for the <em>Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War<\/em> perks also made the rounds. With <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war-zombies-perk-can-collection\/\"><em>Call of Duty<\/em> Zombies\u2019 perk cans<\/a> also brought to life by fans of the mode, it will be interesting to see what the community comes up with next.<\/p>\n<p>With the original Ray Gun still standing tall as one of the best <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-duty-black-ops-cold-war-zombies-weapon-tier-list\/\"><em>Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War<\/em> Zombies weapons<\/a>, it is worthy of all the love it gets from fans.
