It&rsquo;s not technology for technology&rsquo;s sake,&rdquo; Bowser said in the interview.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"video\">\n<div class=\"video-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/Ti-i40Ez6KY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Ti-i40Ez6KY\"  rel=\"noopener\">Watch on YouTube<\/a><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;It&rsquo;s how specifically can technology enhance a gameplay experience. And then where do you apply that technology? Do you want to apply it on current existing hardware or platforms, or do you want to wait for the next platform? And then what&rsquo;s the right gameplay experience with that? There&rsquo;s a host of factors that goes into it, and it&rsquo;s something we&rsquo;re always looking at.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>We&rsquo;ve been hearing reports about&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2020\/08\/24\/new-switch-model-nintendo-2021\/\">a new Switch model<\/a>&nbsp;for a while now, with rumors about the hardware refresh kicking off&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2018\/10\/04\/new-switch-model-2019-launch\/\">as far back as 2018<\/a>). Nintendo has remained refused to say anything about a potential model, though, and even now Bowser seems reticent to say whether there&rsquo;s actually anything in the works.<\/p>\n<p>Back in May, we saw a new report that suggests that&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2021\/05\/27\/nintendo-switch-pro-release-date-price-report\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">the next&nbsp;Nintendo Switch&nbsp;model will begin production in July 2021<\/a>, and see a retail release by September.
