Google Calendar<\/a> is one of the most understated products in the Google Suite. If you live and die by your calendar, Google made an improvement that could change your life. You can finally snooze notifications that you get from Google Calendar on your desktop PC or Chromebook<\/a>. There are a couple of caveats, however. First, you have to have Google Calendar open in a tab. Second, you have to allow Google Calendar to send notifications to your PC. If both of those conditions are met, you can snooze the notifications you get as events come up. We’ll show you exactly how to do that.<\/p>\n

How to snooze notifications in Chrome<\/h2>\n

First, you have to make sure you have allowed notifications to be sent.<\/p>\n

    Go to Settings<\/strong> in Chrome.<\/p>\n

    <\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Click Privacy and security<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Click Site settings<\/strong><\/p>\n

    <\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    Scroll down and click Notifications<\/strong><\/p>\n

    <\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  5. \n

    Scroll down to Allow<\/strong> and make sure calendar.google.com is in there.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  6. \n

    If it is not, click Add<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    <\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  7. \n

    Type https:\/\/calendar.google.com:443 and click **Add<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    <\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    That should do it. You’ll get notifications from Google Calendar as long as you have it open in a Chrome tab. When the notification pops up, click Snooze<\/strong>.

    How to configure the snooze<\/h2>\n

    You can set the time when a snoozed notification will ring again. That is in Calendar settings.<\/p>\n

      From Google Calendar, click the Cog<\/strong> at the top of calendar > Settings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    2. Click Notification Settings<\/strong> on the left.<\/li>\n

      Select the desired time in the Show snoozed notifications<\/strong> dropdown. You can set this for any time from 0 until 5 minutes prior to the start of the event.<\/p>\n

      Snoozing is really valuable, especially to event notifications because they’re a great reminder that something is coming up, so you can get ready for it. When it comes up again it’s showtime.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
