Well, you&rsquo;ve come to the right place. We, VG247, are looking for a new staff writer.<\/p>\n<p>Before you get excited and fire off an email without due thought and consideration, please note that this role will have a focus on Games as a Service titles, or GAAS to give them their even more catchy abbreviated name. Games like Genshin Impact, Call of Duty: Warzone, Minecraft, Destiny, and the like.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"video\">\n<div class=\"video-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/EjO12Y10uz0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=EjO12Y10uz0\"  rel=\"noopener\">Watch on YouTube<\/a><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p>Your writing on games of this type will take multiple forms (news, interviews, opinions), but the bulk of your time will be spent creating industry-leading guides. We&rsquo;re after someone who can cover a handful of these GAAS titles in detail, reporting on them from a position of knowledge, but at least 60% of your time will be dedicated to guide content.<\/p>\n<p>We want someone who will be part of our tight-knit team, working alongside our Guides Editor on a daily basis, but also pitching stories to senior editors and appearing in our new video and podcast content.<\/p>\n<p>You don&rsquo;t have to have tons of experience to apply for this role, but some previous games writing is definitely a bonus, as is some knowledge of SEO.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It&rsquo;s an exciting time at VG247, with a forthcoming website redesign due to kick off a new era for the site.
