With adaptations like\u00a0<em>Dota, Resident Evil, Castlevania<\/em>, and more, it&#8217;s clear that the streaming service is all-in on &#8220;geek culture,&#8221; as it markets this branch, and that includes even more\u00a0<em>The Witcher\u00a0<\/em>on the horizon. With the live-action\u00a0<em>The Witcher\u00a0<\/em>season 2 coming soon and the prequel well underway, there is yet another Polish-inspired adaptation in the works, and that&#8217;s with Netflix&#8217;s\u00a0<em>The Witcher\u00a0<\/em>anime called\u00a0<em>Nightmare of the Wolf. <\/em>We&#8217;ve\u00a0got a brand new look at what&#8217;s ahead with a fresh trailer and a full cast reveal.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Netflix shared the latest trailer of\u00a0<em>Nightmare of the Wolf\u00a0<\/em>on the official Witcher Twitter account, which you can see below. Additionally, Netflix also confirmed the cast behind the mainstay characters. He yearns to break free of his social standing and to explore the Continent to find his destiny.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Lara Pulver as Tetra\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;Tetra Gilcrest is a powerful sorceress who is descended from one of the Continent\u2019s first mages, and believes magic connects all things of beauty. She and her followers work to keep peace on the Continent by ensuring that magic is not abused.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Mary McDonnel as Lady Zerbst\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;Lady Zerbst is a Kaedwen noblewoman who inherited her husband\u2019s seat on the king\u2019s advisory council after his death. She has since risen to become one of the king\u2019s most trusted advisors, and a fierce supporter of the witchers.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Graham McTavis as Degla\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;Deglan was raised on the harsh, unforgiving Skellige Isles and is the hardened warrior-leader of the witchers. He is fiercely loyal to his \u201cboys,\u201d and committed to doing whatever is necessary to protect them.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The anime is a prequel with Vesemir<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2020\/10\/05\/netflixs-the-witcher-season-2-synopsis-reveals-a-return-to-kaer-morhen\">\u00a0taking center stage<\/a>. He&#8217;s\u00a0an older veteran to the witcher order and somewhat of a father figure to Geralt of Rivia. According to Netflix, the official description states:\u00a0\u201cLong before mentoring Geralt, Vesemir begins his own journey as a witcher after the mysterious Deglan claims him through the Law of Surprise.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Lauren S. Hissrich, the current showrunner of the live-action\u00a0<em>The Witcher\u00a0<\/em>series, is at the helm as showrunner and co-executive producer on <em>Nightmare of the Wolf<\/em>. She is joined by Kwang Han (<em>The Boondocks, The Last Airbender<\/em>) as the anime&#8217;s director.
