Kicking off today\u2019s Nintendo Direct was the reveal of new content for the Switch-exclusive\u00a0Monster Hunter Rise. Titled Sunbreak, this new content package\u00a0is a\u00a0\u201cmassive expansion\u201d for Monster Hunter Rise and will arrive in\u00a02022.<\/p>\n
The brief look was only about a minute long but felt so much shorter. The world of Sunbreak featured a moonlit castle, a shot of Rathalos\u00a0soaring through the dark purple skies, and the reveal of what looks to be a new flying wyvern with crimson wings and a dark air about it.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Click here to watch embedded media<\/a><\/p>\n Nintendo\u2019s Yoshiaki Koizumi gave some small broad details about the expansion after the trailer played. He said Capcom is working on many new elements for Monster Hunter Rise to be added to the expansion. Sunbreak will include new stories, locals, monsters, new hunting actions, and questing ranks for players to explore.
