Shortly after, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/2021\/09\/13\/hayley-atwell-cast-as-lara-croft-in-netflixs-tomb-raider-anime\" >Netflix revealed that Hayley Atwell<\/a>, whom you might recognize as Grace from this year&#8217;s <em>Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning<\/em> or as Peggy Carter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, would voice Lara Croft in the series. Today, Netflix released our first look at the series, which is called <em>Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft<\/em>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s no word on when to expect the series, but Netflix says it&#8217;s coming to the subscription streaming service soon.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Check out the Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft teaser trailer for yourself below:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameBorder=\"0\"  allow=\"autoplay\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/cb9AUAZBcOk\" width=\"\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>As you can see in the teaser above, this take on Lara Croft seemingly follows the recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/games\/tomb_raider_definitive_edition\/b\/playstation4\/archive\/2014\/01\/24\/tomb-raider-definitive-edition-review-game-informer.aspx#:~:text=Don%27t%20expect%20this%20Lara,the%20game%20is%20nearly%20flawless.\" >Crystal Dynamics Tomb Raider reboot trilogy<\/a> that concluded with 2018&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/review\/shadow-of-the-tomb-raider\/in-the-shadow-of-something-greater#:~:text=Shadow%20of%20the%20Tomb%20Raider%20still%20has%20all%20the%20things,has%20its%20highs%20and%20lows.\" >Shadow of the Tomb Raider<\/a>. Back in 2021, when Netflix announced Atwell&#8217;s role in the show, it confirmed the series would take place after the events of that trilogy. Looking at this teaser, it&#8217;s hard to say whether or not that&#8217;s the case. But it sounds like we won&#8217;t have to wait long to find out since <em>Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft<\/em> is expected to hit Netflix soon.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/news\/2023\/09\/27\/netflix-reveals-first-look-at-devil-may-cry-anime-from-castlevania-producer-adi\" >check out the teaser trailer for Netflix&#8217;s <em>Devil May Cry<\/em> anime series<\/a> released today as well.
