The base, $40 version of Beyond Light does not come with a season pass for the game&rsquo;s Season 12, which kicks off the day the expansion launches. As you&rsquo;ve no doubt already seen on <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/1314563\/Destiny_2_Beyond_Light\/\" rel=\"noopener\" >Steam<\/a>, PS Store and <a href=\"https:\/\/bungiestore.com\/collections\/games\" rel=\"noopener\" >Bungie&rsquo;s own store<\/a> &ndash; there&rsquo;s another, $50 version that includes Season 12.<\/p>\n<p><iframe width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rQ2_yO8e68A\" alt=\"Please accept cookies to see this iframe.\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This is in stark contrast to last year&rsquo;s Shadowkeep expansion; the base, $35 version of which came with Season of the Worthy included. Both expansions offer Deluxe Editions that include all seasons within a year, so in Beyond Light&rsquo;s case that&rsquo;s Seasons 12, 13, 14 and 15.<\/p>\n<p>Bungie has yet to reveal the seasonal content\/roadmap for Season 12, and we realistically shouldn&rsquo;t expect that to materialise until closer to launch. It is, however, a bit strange that players will have to fork out an extra $10 to access the Season 12 Battle Pass, and presumably most other seasonal content coming down the line.<\/p>\n<p>Destiny 2 has always had a seasonal release structure, but last year&rsquo;s Shadowkeep codified that with a clear progression track through a Battle Pass, seasonal events exclusive to owners of that pass, and an Artifact free to everyone.
