He specifically listed Mortal Kombat 9, Injustice 1, Mortal Kombat 10, Injustice 2, and Mortal Kombat 11.<\/p>\n<p>Known for its illustrious fighting games, a NetherRealm tournament will likely attract considerable talent if it goes ahead. However, Boon doesn&rsquo;t know when it will be sufficiently safe to host said tournament &ndash; none of us do. Naturally, fans have taken well to the possibility of adding netcode to classic fighting games Mortal Kombat 9 and Injustice 1 given that it would drastically improve the connection of players competing online.<\/p>\n<p>Hosting a new NetherRealm tournament would also serve to appease fans who were disappointed by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2020\/03\/08\/mortal-kombat-11-tournament-cancelled-coronavirus\/\">necessary cancellation of a variety of Mortal Kombat competitions<\/a> due to the coronavirus earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>In related news, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2020\/07\/28\/injustice-3-teaser-hints-comic-book\/\">an Injustice 3 reveal could be just around the corner<\/a> given that a third installment for the games&rsquo; corresponding comic book series was teased last week.<\/p>\n<p><iframe width=\"500\" height=\"281\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2glPV0GV3ns?feature=oembed\" alt=\"Please accept cookies to see this iframe.\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Also, UFC boss Dana White recently hosted the first Fight Island event, which is essentially like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2020\/04\/07\/ufc-private-island-mortal-kombat\/\">a real-life Mortal Kombat<\/a>.
