It has been five months since Nintendo released Animal Crossing: New Horizons<\/strong><\/em> exclusively to the Switch. Of course, it is no secret that\u00a0it<\/em>\u00a0has since become\u00a0a critical and commercial hit for Nintendo, with the company announcing recently that AC: New Horizons<\/em> was able to sell 22 million copies<\/a> in a short amount of time.<\/p>\n

Now, Nintendo Switch players who still haven’t tried out Animal Crossing: New Horizons<\/em> would be happy to know that the game is currently discounted. Players can purchase Animal Crossing: New Horizons<\/em><\/a> at\u00a0Walmart for $49.94, or 17% cheaper than its original list price of $59.99. The discount may not be much, but it is worth knowing that\u00a0Walmart’s price is one of the cheapest out there. Players should also know that they would have to add the item to their carts first before seeing the discounted price.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Nintendo recently introduced two waves of content updates in Animal Crossing: New Horizons<\/em>. The first wave\u00a0now allows players to swim in the ocean and catch sea creatures<\/a> sitting on the bottom of the ocean floor. Of course, these sea creatures can be donated to Blathers’ museum, where they will appear in one of the aquariums. Additionally, the wave 1 update also introduced a brand new character named Pascal. Players can approach Pascal and give him any items they find on the seafloor in exchange for some special DIY recipes.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, wave 2 update re-introduces one of the best features in Animal Crossing: New Leaf,<\/em> which is the ability to visit other islands via dreams<\/a>. In New Horizons<\/em>, players can already visit other islands via the airport, as long as the island’s owner is also online. However, players can visit other people’s islands via dreams even if they are offline. Another new feature that was added in wave 2 update is the ability to watch fireworks shows every Sunday in August. Players can also customize their own fireworks design just to give every show a unique and personal flair.<\/p>\n

Veteran Animal Crossing: New Leaf<\/em> players would know that the re-introduction of Dream Villages would also see the return of some of the most popular ones from New Leaf<\/em>. As expected,\u00a0the infamous Aika Village from New Leaf<\/em>\u00a0returned to New Horizons<\/em><\/a>. Although the remake of the island is not exactly the same as the original, it still embodied the creepy vibe of Aika Village, and it is still designed to tell the haunting story of a young girl named Aika.<\/p>\n

Animal Crossing: New Horizons<\/strong><\/em> is out now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.<\/p>\n
