Ultimate<\/strong><\/em> are looking forward to the next fighter&#8217;s release for the Fighters Pass Volume 2. With <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/super-smash-bros-ultimate-min-min-no-abilities\/\">Min Min<\/a>&#8216;s overall positive reception to the arena, players are wondering who will be added to the game next. Some players have been noticing hints that suggest Dante from <em>Devil May Cry<\/em> may be a future addition to the fighting game.<\/p>\n<p>People involved with both <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/super-smash-bros-ultimate\/\"><em>Super Smash Bros. Ultimate<\/em><\/a> and <em>Devil May Cry<\/em> have been dropping hints about Dante&#8217;s possible addition to the brawling game. While these clues may seem like circumstantial evidence on their own, together they make a creditable case for <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/shin-megami-tensei-3-nocturne-remaster-devil-may-cry-dante-dlc\/\">Dante<\/a> being included at some point in the future.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/super-smash-bros-ultimate-stage-select-music-bug\/\">Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is Crashing Due to a Stage Select Music Glitch<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>PlatinumGames co-founder and former <em>Devil May Cry<\/em> Director Hideki Kamiya was interviewed by GameXplain, and during this time he was asked which characters he wanted to see in Smash Ultimate. Kamiya listed off four potential fighters: Leonhardt &#8220;Leo&#8221; Victorian from <em>Anarchy Reigns<\/em>, Wonder Red from <em>Wonderful 101<\/em>, Viewtiful Joe, and Amaterasu from <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/okami-2-game-capcom\/\"><em>Okami<\/em><\/a>. However, he didn&#8217;t mention Dante, which is odd considering a survey he put out in December 2018. The survey included Dante and the other characters Kamiya mentioned\u00a0\u2014 save Leo\u00a0\u2014 with Dante getting a majority of the vote by a large margin. While the survey has been deleted, Kamiya is known to determine his future projects through Twitter polls, so many believe Dante&#8217;s exclusion from the recent list of characters is noteworthy.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/0KnLoflGxHs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Other hints back up Dante&#8217;s inclusion as well. Hideaki Itsuno, Director of <em>Devil May Cry<\/em>, pointed out in 2019 that characters included in Smash games had to have some tie in to Nintendo. At the time, <em>Devil May Cry<\/em> had not playable on a Nintendo system, but since then, the game has come out on the Nintendo Switch, so that requirement has been fulfilled. On top of this, V&#8217;s voice actor in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/devil-may-cry-5-dante-must-die-tips\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Devil May Cry 5<\/em><\/a> may have let the secret slip a little early. During an interview, Brian Hanford said, &#8220;To be part of Marvel vs Capcom or Super Smash Bros would be huge, which is what Dante is going to be.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Doctor_Cupcakes\/status\/1074984935071629312?ref_src=https:\/\/gamerant.com\/super-smash-bros-ultimate-dlc-dante-devil-may-cry\/twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1074984935071629312%7Ctwgr%5E&#038;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.dexerto.com%2Fsmash%2Fnew-smash-ultimate-clues-hint-at-dante-being-fighters-pass-volume-2-dlc-1406295%22 frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>While these hints on their own don&#8217;t prove anything, they make a compelling case for Dante. Fans seem to like this idea, so his inclusion in <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/super-smash-bros-ultimate-last-dlc-second-fighter-pass\/\">Fighters Pass Volume 2<\/a> would likely get a great reception. However, players will just have to wait and see if these clues will amount to anything as the next <em>Smash Ultimate<\/em>\u00a0fighters are unveiled.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Super Smash Bros.
