Some of these additions are simple, such as a <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/skyrim-mod-cat-adoption\/\">mod adding cat adoption into <em>Skyrim<\/em><\/a>, or another that gives players usable wings with flight mechanics. Then there are more jaw-dropping feats like <em>The Elder Scrolls Renewal: Skywind<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Skywind<\/em> is described as a &#8220;total recreation&#8221; of <em>The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind<\/em>\u00a0using the <em>Skyrim: Special Edition<\/em> engine. The <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/morrowind-skyrim-mod-skywind\/\"><em>Skywind<\/em> mod has been in development since 2012<\/a>, and periodically shares its progress with fans. Yesterday, the developers released a 15-minute gameplay demo centered around <em>Morrowind<\/em>&#8216;s Battle at Nchurdamz quest that they say, &#8220;Represents some of the progress we have made in every avenue of development.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/elder-scrolls-skyrim-mod-wings-fly\/\">Skyrim Mod Gives Players Wings, Lets Them Fly<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The video is a testament to the skills and dedication of the modding team, showing off a variety of locales updated from the 2002 game with voice acting, combat mechanics, and more. According to its description on YouTube, one massive update made since the last gameplay demo in 2019 is the use of custom creature skeletons and animations, allowing for\u00a0a Dwemer Spider enemy model different from\u00a0what appears in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/skyrim\/\"><em>Skyrim<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mIU21A8cv5w?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><em>Morrowind<\/em> is a fan-favorite game in <em>The Elder Scrolls<\/em> series, and Bethesda knows it. In 2017, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/skywind-mod-morrowind-elder-scrolls-interview-213\/\">Bethesda added Morrowind into its MMO <em>The Elder Scrolls Online<\/em><\/a>, and at the time <em>Skywind<\/em> coding lead Kninja50 told Game Rant that any content and lore included in this revival of the continent would be taken into consideration for the fan project.<\/p>\n<p>For those who prefer a different flavor of fantasy adventure, a separate team is also working on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/elder-scrolls-mod-skyblivion-trailer\/\"><em>Skyblivion<\/em>; a <em>Skyrim<\/em>-based remake of <em>The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion<\/em><\/a>. However, the team developing <em>Skywind<\/em> continues to grow, and yesterday&#8217;s\u00a0demo video encourages applications from volunteers who can help with voice acting, level design, coding, and more.<\/p>\n<p>According to the FAQ on <em>Skywind<\/em>&#8216;s website, the recreation will probably not work with most other mods, but the team is planning to open a separate page on Nexus Mods for fans who want to create their own content for the <em>Morrowind<\/em> recreation.
