GungHo Online Entertainment\u2019s all-ages brawler Ninjala<\/em><\/strong> continues to grow in terms of player base and new content being developed for it<\/a>, but with that growth comes a growing number of problematic players that the studio says it\u2019ll do something about if they continue to act up.<\/p>\n

The latest post on the game\u2019s website details the situation. GungHo said that, in the nearly two months since Ninjala<\/em><\/a> launched, it\u2019s observed enough players engaging in \u201cunsportsmanlike behavior\u201d in both ranked and unranked matches to be concerned. Examples of such behavior, according to the post, include players \u201crepeatedly idling,\u201d \u201cgoing unresponsive in mid-battle,\u201d \u201crobotically repeating a single action,\u201d and \u201crunning around the stage but not participating in battle.\u201d<\/p>\n

Being as these actions can have an \u201cextremely adverse effect on the fairness\u201d of Ninjala<\/em>\u2019s matchmaking<\/a>, GungHo made it clear that it reserves the right to hit problem players with matching bans or account suspensions. \u201cThe Ninjala<\/em> Team endeavors to provide a safe and fair gaming environment for all players, and we ask for your cooperation in enjoying the game responsibly and in accordance with the Terms of Service,\u201d it wrote.<\/p>\n

Even with enough unsportsmanlike players in the game to worry GungHo, Ninjala<\/em> has managed to become very popular since launch. While a lot of people have dismissed it as a mere Splatoon<\/em> knockoff, a lot more have been jumping into it. As of this week, Ninjala<\/em> has been downloaded by over 4 million players<\/a>, and now that the game features worldwide matchmaking, those players are able to play with one another like never before.<\/p>\n

Ninjala<\/em><\/strong> is free-to-play for the Switch.<\/p>\n
