Pokemon Home<\/em><\/strong> is an app that helps fans take the Pokemon they\u2019ve used in past games up to the modern generation of Pokemon<\/em> titles. The app is incredibly helpful to the hardcore Pokemon<\/em> player base, and has been downloaded over 1 million times on mobile<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, the app could also stand to be optimized and smoothed out whenever possible. Now, Pokemon Home<\/a>‘s<\/em>\u00a01.2.1 version update is available, offering a handful of helpful quality of life changes.<\/p>\n

Pokemon Home<\/em> was invaluable for Sword<\/em> and Shield<\/em> players who wanted to bring older Pokemon included in the Galar Pokedex into Generation 8. The app was even updated recently to add compatibility with Sword<\/em> and Shield<\/em>\u2019s DLC<\/a> expansion called the Isle of Armor. Since then, the app has received various updates over time to improve the collective functions that Pokemon Home<\/em> offers. While Pokemon Home<\/em> updates usually don\u2019t alter the app too drastically,\u00a0they do add helpful tweaks to the app\u2019s UI and systems.<\/p>\n

First up, players can now deposit multiple Pokemon to the Wonder Box at one time following the 1.2.1 update. Additionally, search options for the app\u2019s GTS have been expanded in a few ways ultimately making them a bit more specific and concise. The Battle Data screen has been updated to show Nature\u2019s when viewing Pokemon Rankings and will show if a mint was used to change that nature<\/a>. A back button was also added to the Battle Data screen for easier navigation.<\/p>\n

A glitch was fixed surrounding the Pokemon Toxtricity in which its Gigantamax form wasn\u2019t visible in a player\u2019s Pokedex. The visual aspects of Pokemon Home<\/em> are key for users to identify Pokemon quickly, such as making sure shiny Pokemon look different<\/a>\u00a0in their sprites when compared to their non-shiny counterparts. Finally, the update revised challenge complete messages so players more clearly understand what challenges they\u2019ve completed. The patch notes also mention the addition of \u201cnew informational features\u201d and \u201cvarious other fixes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Quality of life updates are always welcome when it comes to apps that provide a useful service, and Pokemon Home<\/em> users will no doubt appreciate these changes. In the past, Pokemon Home<\/em> weeded out impossible requests<\/a> over the GTS through subsequent updates. While update 1.2.1 isn\u2019t a groundbreaking update, it offers plenty of nice tweaks and fixes that will make navigating the app much more enjoyable for those who use it more often than others.<\/p>\n

Pokemon Home\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>is now available for the Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.<\/p>\n
