Ghost of Tsushima<\/strong><\/em>‘s newly announced Legends expansion brings multiplayer to the already critically acclaimed single player experience. Fans wondering what to expect from\u00a0Ghost of Tsushima: Legends<\/em><\/a>\u00a0<\/em>need look no further, as though there is currently no information aside from the reveal trailer and announcement, a lot of information was hidden within those sources that can provide a clue at what each class will play like. The Samurai class looks to be exactly what one might expect and will probably play much more Shimura than Sakai. Digging deep into the trailer unveils a little bit more about its playstyle, though.<\/p>\n

The recent trailer for\u00a0Ghost of Tsushima: Legends<\/em><\/a>\u00a0shows four classes in total: the Samurai, Ronin, Hunter, and Assassin. Players can guess at what these classes will look like in practice, but it should be said that anything about how these classes will work is purely speculation. No one outside of Sucker Punch has concrete information, so fans should take everything with a grain of salt until official confirmation comes through. Nevertheless, speculation can provide insight on what types of things to expect, and when rooted in the game’s history and viewed from a logical perspective, it can hold some weight.<\/p>\n

The most obvious place to start when predicting what the Samurai class’ abilities will be is the Samurai page of the Techniques menu. This is broken up into four main categories:\u00a0Deflection, Evasion, Mythic, and Exploration Techniques<\/a>. More likely than not, exploration won’t play a huge factor in the multiplayer expansion, as it is likely to be more mission based. The Mythic Techniques offer a wide variety of abilities and probably won’t be specific to the Samurai class, though if he was to have one of the four the Heavenly Strike would make the most sense. Between the Deflection and Evasion skill trees, the Samurai class could plausibly focus more heavily on deflection, leaving the more advanced evasion abilities in the hands of the Ronin class.<\/p>\n

In terms of stances, it would be easy to assume that the Samurai class would have all four main Ghost of Tsushima\u00a0<\/em>combat stances<\/a>, but that may not be the case. Though it will almost certainly have access to the Stone stance and probably the Water and Wind stances, there’s a possibility that the Moon stance won’t be accessible by this class. The reasoning behind this potential restriction is that the Assassin is clearly shown using the Moon stance during the trailer. Of course, there could be overlap between the four classes, so this isn’t definitive. It’s also possible that different stances will be used entirely.<\/p>\n
