Nintendo fans have long been awaiting news on Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2<\/em><\/strong>. While the trailer for this sequel was first shown at E3<\/a> last year, many gamers have been hoping to see something more concrete on its release. With the Zelda<\/em> franchise’s 35th anniversary just around the corner, there may be something special in store for fans if recent leaks have anything to say about it.<\/p>\n

With the sequel for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild<\/em><\/a> on the horizon, many fans are going wild imagining different directions the game could be heading in, spawning some interesting Zelda<\/em> fan theories<\/a>. However, it seems that players won’t have to wonder about the game for much longer according to a leak from a French retailer.<\/p>\n

Earlier today, WT&T updated its distributor listings and showed off Breath of the Wild 2<\/em><\/a> on its online retail format. According to the information the retailer presented, the Zelda<\/em> sequel will be coming in two different formats: a standard release of the game as well as a Collector’s Edition. The page has very specific prices for the games, with the Collector’s Edition being marked at\u00a0\u20ac82,85, leading some to believe that this may be more than a placeholder that the site may sometimes use. The current release date is listed as December 31, 2020, but this date is fast approaching and seems more like a placeholder given what the Nintendo community is currently aware of regarding the game.<\/p>\n

If this leak is correct, then this isn’t the first game the French retailer has put on its website before an announcement. This retailer also leaked The Witcher 3<\/em>\u00a0Nintendo Switch port as well, showing\u00a0its credibility of accidental yet truthful game leaks in the past. With the recent leak of a Skyward Sword<\/em> Nintendo Switch port<\/a> from Amazon, Nintendo may be preparing to celebrate the iconic franchise’s 35th anniversary in a big way. However, Nintendo still remains silent on its progress of the long awaited Zelda<\/em> sequel.<\/p>\n

Since Nintendo has not given any updates since the game’s trailer debuted at E3 last year, it seems that the release date WT&T’s website presents may merely be a placeholder unless the gaming giant decides to follow the Paper Mario: The Origami King<\/em><\/a> route and only announce the game a couple months before fans can play it. However, that scenario is very unlikely, but fans are still holding out hope that this is the case.\u00a0If this leak proves to be true, then it\u00a0does confirm the two versions of the game that fans can look forward to sometime in the future.<\/p>\n
