Announced at the Nintendo Indie World Showcase presentation earlier today, along with a slew of other Indie titles, Torchlight 3<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is the next entry in the action role-playing series by developer Echtra Games,\u00a0and it will be coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year.<\/p>\n

Less than a year after Torchlight 2<\/em> was brought over to the Nintendo console<\/a>, the Nintendo Switch version of Torchlight 3<\/em><\/a>\u00a0is coming, and with an exclusive Red Fairy pet.\u00a0Torchlight 3<\/em>\u00a0is currently in early access on Steam and there no word on if this is an indication of a full release of the game or if the early access version will be made available on the Nintendo Switch.<\/p>\n

Originally an MMO called Torchlight Frontiers<\/em>,\u00a0Torchlight 3<\/em> was announced early in 2020<\/a> as the game’s direction was changed back into a more familiar Torchlight<\/em> experience. The change came after an internal discussion within the developer resulting in the original 2019 release date being postponed and the step away from a free-to-play aspect. Torchlight 3<\/em> will still have online and offline game play, however offline characters cannot be brought online.<\/p>\n
