That said, it is not extremely easy to perform a successful parry in this <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/action-rpgs-exciting-boring-2020-cyberpunk-2077\/\">new action RPG<\/a> from Cold Symmetry,\u00a0but with a bit of instruction and some practice fans should be able to\u00a0use this technique to counter their foes&#8217; offense fairly consistently.<\/p>\n<p>To note, players are only able to parry in\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/mortal-shell\/\">Mortal Shell<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>after obtaining the Tarnished Seal, which is found inside of Fallgrim Tower. This location is accessible very early during a <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/mortal-shell-review\/\">playthrough of <em>Mortal Shell<\/em><\/a>, and the Seal itself is up several flights of stairs next to the Old Prisoner. While this is something that many players will already be aware of it, it is the first step to parrying and is thus worth mentioning.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/mortal-shell-glimpse-farm\/\">Mortal Shell: How to Farm Glimpse Fast<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>After earning\u00a0the Tarnished Seal a player will see it affixed to their character&#8217;s back, and keeping an eye on it is an important part of parrying. More specifically, if the Seal has an orange glow (or no glow at all) as\u00a0an enemy performs an attack then that specific strike can be parried, and successful execution comes down exclusively to timing. On the other hand, if the Tarnished Seal turns red in the face of an attack then it cannot be parried, and fans should instead dodge or use <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/mortal-shell-hadern-boss-fight-gameplay\/\">Harden in <em>Mortal Shell<\/em><\/a><i>\u00a0<\/i>to avoid taking damage.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/77j74NAbJSI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Once a player has verified that they can parry a specific attack, they will then need to press L1\/LB at the correct time to do so, and this is where things can get difficult.\u00a0Essentially, fans should be looking to time their parries so that the Tarnished Seal is in front of their character and has a white glow when their adversary&#8217;s attack would connect.
