Now, the filmmaker himself has shared a preview of the teaser that will debut at the virtual event and it includes new footage of Henry Cavill&#8217;s Superman.<\/p>\n<p>In May 2017, Zack Snyder stepped away from directorial duties\u00a0while <em>Justice League<\/em> was in the midst of post-production in order to focus on his family after the death of his daughter. <em>Avengers<\/em> director <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/joss-whedon-justice-league-cyborg-ray-fisher-abuse\/\">Joss Whedon was brought on board<\/a> to continue the post-production work on <em>Justice League<\/em> and would later be tasked with overseeing extensive reshoots that dramatically altered Snyder&#8217;s original vision for the film. After <em>Justice League<\/em> was released in theaters to mixed reviews and underwhelming box office numbers, a vocal group of\u00a0fans launched petitions and campaigns calling on Warner Bros. to release Snyder&#8217;s original version of the film.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/justice-league-snyder-cut-jesse-eisenberg\/\">Jesse Eisenberg Reveals Why He is Not Part of the Justice League Snyder Cut Movement<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>After nearly three years, those fans received their wish when Zack Snyder concluded a <em>Man of Steel<\/em> online watch party by confirming his cut of <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/justice-league-snyder-cut-hbo-max-release-date\/\"><em>Justice League<\/em> would be released exclusively on HBO Max<\/a> in 2021. Now, Snyder&#8217;s new teaser for his version of\u00a0<em>Justice League<\/em>\u00a0gives fans a glimpse at a shirtless Henry Cavill as Superman standing in front of the monument\u00a0raised in\u00a0the Man of Steel&#8217;s honor after his fatal confrontation with Doomsday in<em> Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice<\/em>. The\u00a0teaser also includes new footage\u00a0of Ray Fisher&#8217;s Victor Stone in the midst of celebrating a football victory before the tragic accident that transforms him into Cyborg.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ZackSnyder\/status\/1296437963224690694\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Snyder, who has admitted to never seeing the theatrical cut of <em>Justice League<\/em>, has been very open about\u00a0his original plans for the film and its now-canceled sequels. Initially, <em>Justice League<\/em> was going to lay <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/justice-league-snyder-cut-darkseid\/\">the groundwork\u00a0for the arrival of DC villain Darkseid<\/a>, who would be the primary antagonist in Snyder&#8217;s five-film arc. However, the underwhelming critical reactions and box office performance of the theatrical cut of<em> Justice League<\/em> prompted Warner Bros. to cancel Snyder&#8217;s sequels and reassess their own plans for the future of the DC Extended Universe franchise.<\/p>\n<p>While there is a certain level of excitement\u00a0about Zack Snyder&#8217;s <em>Justice League<\/em> cut, others were not thrilled to see Warner Bros. essentially cave to the demands of the fans. While the &#8220;Release the Snyder Cut&#8221; campaign <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/justice-league-zack-snyder-cut-suicide-prevention-charity\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">raised thousands of dollars to worthy causes<\/a> over the past three years, a vocal group of fans\u00a0would often hurl\u00a0vitriolic online attacks towards anyone who questioned the need to revisit\u00a0<em>Justice League<\/em> instead of moving on and focusing on the future DC films.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the upcoming release of Zack Snyder&#8217;s <em>Justice League<\/em> is seen as a win\u00a0for many who champion the vision of filmmakers over studio interference.
