As is now routine every Thursday, the Epic Games Store<\/strong> has rotated out last week’s free games and has released yet more. This week’s offerings include two great free games in Enter the Gungeon<\/em> and God’s Trigger<\/em>. Epic also confirmed that next week will also have two free games, with the 2016 Hitman<\/em> reboot and a collection of classic Shadowrun<\/em> games unlocking. Epic Games Store<\/a> users just need to log in and claim the games to own them.<\/p>\n

Enter the Gungeon<\/em><\/a> is a fast-paced top-down shooter\/roguelike set in a world where bullets and other living ammunition guard a fortress built atop The Gun That Can Kill The Past. It’s as absurd and over the top as it sounds, but it’s also outrageously fun to play over and over. God’s Trigger<\/em> is a 2019 release come to the Epic Games Store for the first time. It’s also a top-down shooter, though it’s far more tactical than Gungeon<\/em> and it can be played cooperatively, too.<\/p>\n

As for next week’s games, Hitman<\/em> really needs no introduction. The 2016 reboot of the franchise from IO Interactive was very well-received. It’s packed full of awesome set-piece locations, filled with creative solutions for players to use in their assassinations. This will also be a great chance for Hitman<\/em> fans to prepare for the upcoming release of Hitman 3<\/em>, which is now confirmed to be an Epic Games Store exclusive on PC<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The second free game for next week is the Shadowrun Collection<\/em>, which is really a bundle of three different games: Shadowrun Returns<\/em><\/a>, Shadowrun Dragonfall<\/em>, and Shadowrun Hong Kong<\/em>. These turn-based strategy RPGs are instant classics, helping grow developer\/publisher Harebrained Schemes into an indie studio well worth paying close attention to.<\/p>\n

Enter the Gungeon<\/em> and God’s Trigger<\/em> will be available from now through next Wednesday, with Hitman<\/em> and the Shadowrun Collection<\/em> unlocking next Thursday, August 27, exclusively on the Epic Games Store<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
